3FL Notes: S25: Week 13 Preview

A low scoring week saw three more teams claim a playoff spot. Now there are six teams fighting for the final three places with only two weeks to go in the regular season. Half of our teams have surpassed the 1,000 point mark.

Thanksgiving Day has three scheduled games and there is also one on Friday afternoon this week. Make sure your team is ready!

Week 12 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Predacons - 137 points

Player MVPs:
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB/Det/P) - 43 points
Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR/Sea/MI) - 28 points
Jalen Hurts (QB/Phi/YB) - 26 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 51/72 - 70.83%
Yahoo! Projections: 47/72 - 65.28%

Week 13 Information

Thanksgiving Early: Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions
Thanksgiving Late: Kansas City Chiefs @ Dallas Cowboys
Thanksgiving Night: Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens
Friday Afternoon: Chicago Bears @ Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday Night: Denver Broncos @ Washington Commanders
Monday Night: New York Giants @ New England Patriots
Bye Week: None until next week

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 13:

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
Last week was not a good one for SpiVi. They scored their lowest point total since W7 of 2015(!), putting up less than half of their projection. Yikes. Things should get better here and a win against the Renegades is required to keep their slim postseason hopes alive. However, even without a Defense currently on the roster at the time of this writing, Coach Val is favored to win by ~10 points.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Predacons
Get your turkey ready for this one. These two evenly matched teams have a combined five players going on Thanksgiving Day and another four playing on Black Friday. Then we get to see if the Preds have enough left for a two player MNF comeback. It could really go either way.

Baltimorons (-1) vs. Lightning
The 'Morons have clinched a playoff spot but they've also lost their last five in a row (after winning seven straight to start the season). The 'Bolts still have a shot at the postseason but they'll have to start by extending Coach Drew's losing streak here. And it will be difficult to do that if they don't get a chance to check on injuries before tonight's late game.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
The tie between these teams back in week three allowed the 'Bums to punch their playoff ticket after last week. And even though FitzCorp is mathematically eliminated, they can still make some noise here. It will require a big comeback, though, as Coach Coaldog has more than half of his players in Thanksgiving games and the Corporation has nobody scheduled until Sunday.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
There is a lot on the line in this one. If the Stompers lose they're eliminated from the playoffs, and the Vipers are too, since both West rivals are chasing the CAPS. But if Coach HAW loses it's possible that his team gets knocked out of the top eight with only one week to go. We'll have to pay attention from now until Monday night as there are players spread throughout the week.

And the game of the week...

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
They've won six in a row and are almost assured to keep the top spot in the league at the end of the regular season. Now the Marauders get to face the Phenoms, who have all but punched their ticket to the playoffs unless something crazy happens. This game has by far the largest projected total and it looks like it's going to be a good one. The biggest issue is Coach Hoss's QB room, as both players are Questionable for Sunday games. Can either one heal up in time for another 100+ point week?

Happy Thanksgiving and good luck this week!

3FL Notes: S25: Week 12 Preview

No additional teams qualified for the playoffs last week, but no team is mathematically eliminated either. An interesting twist to the W12 schedule has the top two teams and bottom two teams in each division matched up against each other. And did you know that after 11 weeks the Dumbbums and Phys. Ed. Phenoms have both scored exactly 920 points?

It should be an exciting final three weeks of the regular season as we get into the second set of intra-divisional games!

Week 11 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Lightning - 114 points

Player MVPs:
Josh Allen (QB/Buf/SV) - 42 points
Christian McCaffrey (RB/SF/L) - 30 points
Bryce Young (QB/Car/L) - 28 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 46/66 - 69.70%
Yahoo! Projections: 42/66 - 63.64%

Week 12 Information

Thursday Night: Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans
Sunday Night: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Los Angels Rams
Monday Night: Carolina Panthers @ San Francisco 49ers
Bye Week: Broncos, Chargers, Commanders, Dolphins

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 12:

Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
It's going to be a great matchup, but it's also nearly impossible to pick the winner in this one. SpiVi has to choose between two great QBs while the Stompers have no QBs or TEs on the roster who have a game this week. If they don't fill in those spots can I change my pick? Maybe?? We'll know a lot more after tonight.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Bolts outscored everyone last week, the first time they've done that since sharing the high score back in week 3 of S22. They'll have a chance here with the Brew Crew's bench of zero projections, but having an injured TE in the lineup for tonight's game is no way to start.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Someone should remind Coach Hoss about the curse. His Marauders continue to roll and in addition to being the first with double digit Ws and 1100+ points, they've also won their last five in a row and clinched the South. The 'Bums will make it close but a prime time comeback is likely to end their W-4 run.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
FitzCorp picked up their second win in a row last week, watching their TE and K lead the way despite negative points from their D. They will not make it three straight however. It could get ugly, even if they hit the waiver wire to replace three starters who are on a bye.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
The entire East Division is currently in the top eight and would make the playoffs if the season ended today. These two are #3 and #4 but you'd never know it by their combined L-6 streak. Someone gets to turn things around here and take sole possession of the division lead, and it should be a high scoring affair.

And the game of the week...

Renegades (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Yes, the top two teams in the West are our #2 and #9 seeds. The CAPS could use an upset victory here to jump back into the top eight. They'll need to get out to a big lead despite their bye week bench, as Coach Val is projected to get 25+ points on MNF.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S25: Week 11 Preview

An exciting Rivalry Week saw a big MNF comeback and the first win for Misfits, Inc. this season. Plus our two top teams were able to clinch a playoff berth with four games still left in the regular season! It's going to be an interesting final month to sort out the last six postseason spots.

Week 10 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 120 points

Player MVPs:
Jonathan Taylor (RB/Ind/M) - 46 points
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB/Det/P) - 35 points
De'Von Achane (RB/Mia/YB) - 34 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 42/60 - 70.00%
Yahoo! Projections: 38/60 - 63.33%

Week 11 Information

Thursday Night: New York Jets @ New England Patriots
Sunday Morning: Washington Commanders @ Miami Dolphins
Sunday Night: Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles
Monday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Las Vegas Raiders
Bye Week: Colts, Saints

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 11:

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
Somehow the CAPS had four of their starters leave with injuries mid-game last week. That's tough, especially when three of them ended their day with zero points. Hopefully they can stay healthy this week, and they'll need all hands on deck as PEP has outscored everyone the past two weeks in a row. Can they make it three?

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
FitzCorp finally won, earning their first W in the past 322 days, and with four games remaining (and that tie helping out) they are still very much in the playoff picture. Unfortunately they're facing the team with the highest projected score in this one. The Brew Crew scored 25 points on MNF to win last week and are set up for another comeback here, with FIVE players active in the Sunday night game.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
This week AJ Brown said that his fantasy managers should drop him. Will Coach Sinkerbeam listen? Or at least put him on the bench? Maybe, but their QB decision will be more important against the 'Bums, who will make it close no matter who starts at WR.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
Our #2 and #3 teams face off in what should be a great game this week. The Renegades have already clinched the West Division and qualified for the playoffs, so they're in pretty good shape. The 'Morons have lost three in a row after winning their first seven and would like to get back on track. Perhaps Cee Dee Lamb will come through on MNF to stop their losing streak.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Marauders continue to roll. They're all alone in the top spot and are the only team to pass the 1,000 point mark. They also hold the longest current winning streak at four straight. So why is this game against the 11th place game projected to be so close? Jonathan Taylor on a bye is one thing. And if the Stompers pick up a TE it's going to be even closer.

And the game of the week...

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
They may have matching 3-7 records, but another 3-7 team is currently in a playoff spot if the season ended today. The first step toward the postseason is a head-to-head win here, and it's looking like it could go either way. Edge to the Bolts because they have one fewer Q than SpiVi? I guess.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S25: Week 10 Preview

The matchup between our two highest scoring teams gave us the lowest scoring game in the league last week. But it was an exciting slate with close scores and MNF comebacks (and tiebreakers).

Rivalry Week will have some great matchups and it's possible that a couple teams could lock in a playoff spot already. And don't forget about another early NFL game, this time in Germany on Sunday morning. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Team bereit ist.

Week 9 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 115 points

Player MVPs:
Brock Bowers (TE/LV/P) - 30 points
Joe Flacco (QB/Cin/R) - 29 points
Drake London (WR/Atl/L) - 29 points
Matthew Stafford (QB/LAR/PEP) - 29 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 40/54 - 74.07%
Yahoo! Projections: 36/54 - 66.67%

Week 10 Information

Thursday Night: Las Vegas Raiders @ Denver Broncos
Sunday Morning: Atlanta Falcons @ Indianapolis Colts
Sunday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Los Angeles Chargers
Monday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ Green Bay Packers
Bye Week: Bengals, Chiefs, Cowboys, Titans

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for Rivalry Week:

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Predacons
Our top team scored their lowest total of the year last week but managed to pick up another win. And they're still on pace to put their name in the record books (again) for team points in a season. The Preds may have won seven in a row, but that streak will come to an end here.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
This classic rivalry matchup will be a good one. And half of their players have games outside of the normal Sunday afternoon time slots. Ja'Marr Chase's bye week tilts the edge to the CAPS, but will they pick the right QB to lead them to a W?

Lightning (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
They were oh so close to their first win of the season, with the score tied and their QB driving down the field late on MNF. But an interception gave them -2 and another loss, making it 10 straight games without a victory. The Bolts will likely make it 11.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
SpiVi needs a win here to keep their playoff hopes alive. And while it's not out of the question, the matchups heavily favor the 'Morons this week. We'll know the result early since the final players are in the the PIT/LAC game on Sunday night.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Interestingly enough, this one ends on SNF also, with the 'Bums hoping for their Steelers players to finish a comeback. Tonight's game is big, but so is the question of replacing all those bye week players and a Stompers' TE.

And the Rivalry Week game of the week...

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
This has to be the GOTW even though it might not be the best matchup on the schedule. House bragging rights are on the line and we all know anything can happen in the 3FL. Coach Val has 2/3 of her players projected for double digits, but don't forget that PEP outscored everyone in the league last week. It's going to be fun to watch, right down to multiple players on MNF.

Good luck this week.
