3FL Notes: S25: Week 10 Preview

The matchup between our two highest scoring teams gave us the lowest scoring game in the league last week. But it was an exciting slate with close scores and MNF comebacks (and tiebreakers).

Rivalry Week will have some great matchups and it's possible that a couple teams could lock in a playoff spot already. And don't forget about another early NFL game, this time in Germany on Sunday morning. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Team bereit ist.

Week 9 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 115 points

Player MVPs:
Brock Bowers (TE/LV/P) - 30 points
Joe Flacco (QB/Cin/R) - 29 points
Drake London (WR/Atl/L) - 29 points
Matthew Stafford (QB/LAR/PEP) - 29 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 40/54 - 74.07%
Yahoo! Projections: 36/54 - 66.67%

Week 10 Information

Thursday Night: Las Vegas Raiders @ Denver Broncos
Sunday Morning: Atlanta Falcons @ Indianapolis Colts
Sunday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Los Angeles Chargers
Monday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ Green Bay Packers
Bye Week: Bengals, Chiefs, Cowboys, Titans

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for Rivalry Week:

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Predacons
Our top team scored their lowest total of the year last week but managed to pick up another win. And they're still on pace to put their name in the record books (again) for team points in a season. The Preds may have won seven in a row, but that streak will come to an end here.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
This classic rivalry matchup will be a good one. And half of their players have games outside of the normal Sunday afternoon time slots. Ja'Marr Chase's bye week tilts the edge to the CAPS, but will they pick the right QB to lead them to a W?

Lightning (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
They were oh so close to their first win of the season, with the score tied and their QB driving down the field late on MNF. But an interception gave them -2 and another loss, making it 10 straight games without a victory. The Bolts will likely make it 11.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
SpiVi needs a win here to keep their playoff hopes alive. And while it's not out of the question, the matchups heavily favor the 'Morons this week. We'll know the result early since the final players are in the the PIT/LAC game on Sunday night.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Interestingly enough, this one ends on SNF also, with the 'Bums hoping for their Steelers players to finish a comeback. Tonight's game is big, but so is the question of replacing all those bye week players and a Stompers' TE.

And the Rivalry Week game of the week...

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
This has to be the GOTW even though it might not be the best matchup on the schedule. House bragging rights are on the line and we all know anything can happen in the 3FL. Coach Val has 2/3 of her players projected for double digits, but don't forget that PEP outscored everyone in the league last week. It's going to be fun to watch, right down to multiple players on MNF.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S25: Week 9 Preview

The Baltimorons suffered their first loss of the season and that allowed the Marauders to jump back up to the top of the standings in a lopsided week. The average margin of victory was 40 points.

We also reached the 275k milestone. The 3FL has now accumulated 275,508 regular season points.

Week 8 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 117 points

Player MVPs:
Jonathan Taylor (RB/Ind/M) - 35 points
James Cook III (RB/Buf/M) - 33 points
Breece Hall (RB/NYJ/tH) - 32 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 37/48 - 77.08%
Yahoo! Projections: 34/48 - 70.83%

Week 9 Information

Thursday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Miami Dolphins
Sunday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Commanders
Monday Night: Arizona Cardinals @ Dallas Cowboys
Bye Week: Browns, Buccaneers, Eagles, Jets

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 9:

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Both of these teams won last week and they each moved up two places in the standings. This matchup is even across the board, and it will likely come down to which QBs get the start. And if any of those questionable tags get resolved before Sunday.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Lightning
This one is almost too close to call. They seem to have opposite strengths and weaknesses, but overall it's going to be tight all the way through the 'Bolts' Sunday Night players. This also assumes that there are more add/drops and lineup shifts to come.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
The Preds have won their last six in a row and the Vipers have lost their last six. So it's pretty easy to figure out what's going to happen here. SpiVi will likely win by 20. I mean, maybe not, but it's not out of the question.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
Wow, there are a lot of great games scheduled this week! The Renegades still have just one loss and the Brew Crew have won their last four in a row after a rough start. It's kind of a shame that the Eagles are on a bye, because the Beermen have a whole bench full of players who are off this week. That would have made it even closer.

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Can we wait until a little later to make a pick? It's hard to tell how these lineups might (or might not) change in the next couple days. FitzCorp has a great chance to get their first win game here, but we'll have to see how it goes.

And the game of the week...

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Marauders
They are our top two in the standings and our top two in scoring and have matching 7-1 records. And between them they have the high score in six out of our eight weeks so far this season. It's going to be a great heavyweight battle, but the edge goes to the 'Morons because Baker Mayfield is on a bye. But the Marauders seem to score a ton of points no matter what? Maybe we'll end up with our second tie of the year.

Happy Halloween and good luck this week!

Thursday, October 23, 2025

3FL Notes: S25: Week 8 Preview

Our highest scoring week of the year saw the East win all their games and the West lose all of theirs. And we now have third different team at the top of the standings in the past three week.

Can you believe we're already halfway through our regular season? The second half starts with six NFL teams on a bye. It's going to be an interesting week.

Week 7 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Baltimorons - 140 points

Player MVPs:
Bo Nix (QB/Den/SS) - 37 points
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB/Det/P) - 33 points
Christian McCaffrey (RB/SF/L) - 31 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 32/42 - 76.19%
Yahoo! Projections: 29/42 - 69.05%

Week 8 Information

Thursday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Monday Night: Washington Commanders @ Kansas City Chiefs
Bye Week: Cardinals, Jaguars, Lions, Raiders, Rams, Seahawks

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 8:

Renegades (-1) vs. Lightning
There are four QBs between these two teams and only one of them will play this week. And that one is Joe Flacco. It won't be pretty but Coach Val's group will likely rebound from their first loss of the season (and brief stay at the top), even if the Bolts pick up a third string signal caller.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
At least the Preds don't have too many sit/start decisions to make the wrong choice about this week. They've won five in a row and should make it six if the projections hold. Especially if their Chargers have a big start tonight.

Marauders (-1) vs. Spiked Vipers
We'll have to pay attention to this one all week, as SpiVi starts early and the Marauders have three players going late. Coach Hoss's team handed our first place team their first loss last week and they're still on pace to break some records again this year.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
The Beermen have won their last three in a row and are the only team to be largely unaffected by the NFL 6x bye week. That's a big edge in this one and should help them get back to .500 against a team with a matching record.

the HAW (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
FitzCorp is our only team without a win this season and the way things are going that streak is going to continue. They'll have to hit the waiver wire soon, because between byes and injuries they don't have enough players to fill a starting lineup. The CAPS should be happy about a low stress week. They could use an easy win to get back into playoff position.

And the game of the week...

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
After outscoring everyone and winning their ninth regular season game in a row, the 'Morons are now alone in first place and are our only remaining undefeated team. The 'Bums are looking for the upset, though, but will need everyone to get healthy first. It will all come down to prime time. It's going to be a good one!

Good luck this week.

Thursday, October 16, 2025

3FL Notes: S25: Week 7 Preview

The Renegades outscored everyone and jumped to the top of the standings (by only 9 points over the Baltimorons) thanks to the Marauders' first loss in their last dozen regular season games. And somehow half of the league is now 2-4.

The NFL is playing yet another Sunday morning game in Old England and two more Monday night games (with one not starting until 10pm EDT). Seven separate game times continues to be a lot to track. Make sure your team is set!

Week 6 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Renegades - 119 points

Player MVPs:
Patrick Mahomes (QB/KC/B) - 32 points
Rico Dowdle (RB/Car/R) - 29 points
Bijan Robinson (RB/Atl/tH) - 29 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 28/36 - 77.78%
Yahoo! Projections: 25/36 - 69.44%

Week 7 Information

Thursday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday Morning: Los Angeles Rams @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday Night: Atlanta Falcons @ San Francisco 49ers
Monday Evening: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions
Monday Late: Houston Texans @ Seattle Seahawks
Bye Week: Bills, Ravens

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 7:

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
These team have an even record and only seven points separate their totals after six games. They are also a combined L6. It's a shame that Josh Allen is on a bye because this would be a much closer game with him in the lineup for SpiVi.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Marauders
Here we go! The Renegades took over the top spot last week and the Marauders lost for the first time in a long time (and they scored fewer than 100 points). But this is still the matchup we have all been waiting for with our points leader and our league leader. Tie?

Lightning (-1) vs. Dumbbums
This one would be easier to call after tonight's combined six starting players. The QB matchup is not the best, but the most of the other positions favor the Bolts.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Is this the week that FitzCorp finally gets a win? It is against the undefeated 'Morons, but the projections are close and things are set up for a late MNF (TuesdayMorningFootball?) comeback thanks to JS-N.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Don't look now, but the Brew Crew have won two in a row after starting the season 0-4. And it looks like they've got another win coming this week, with or without an early MNF comeback.

And the game of the week...

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Predacons
Our SB XXIV rematch looks like it's going to be a good one. Things are even across the lineups, right down to both TEs being questionable. There may be some fireworks during prime time, but it will probably come down to the WR sit/start decisions.

Good luck this week.

Thursday, October 09, 2025

3FL Notes: S25: Week 6 Preview

The undefeated Marauders, Baltimorons and Renegades all won again, but somehow 2/3 of the teams in the league have a losing record. Weird, right?

Don't forget there is another game across the pond at 9:30am on Sunday and double dose of MNF again this week.

Week 5 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 123 points

Player MVPs:
Dak Prescott (QB/Dal/MI) - 30 points
Sam Darnold (QB/Sea/R) - 28 points
Jonathan Taylor (RB/Ind/M) - 28 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 23/30 - 76.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 20/30 - 66.67%

Week 6 Information

Thursday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants
Sunday Morning: Denver Broncos @ New York Jets
Sunday Night: Detroit Lions @ Kansas City Chiefs
Monday Evening: Buffalo Bills @ Atlanta Falcons
Monday Night: Chicago Bears @ Washington Commanders
Bye Week: Texans, Vikings

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 6:

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
I know the 'Morons are 5-0 and have scored 100 more points than the Stompers in our first five weeks. But this is going to be a good matchup. The projections give a slight edge to Coach Drew but these two have players in every time slot to stretch out the week.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
It's been quite a turnaround for the Preds. They've won their last three in a row after starting the season with two straight losses. Can they keep it up against PEP? It would help if they could keep a TE healthy.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
The 'Bums have more players on IR than they have wins this year and that's never a good ratio. They'll be favored against SpiVi this week but it will probably come down to a few sit/start choices in the end.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Our only remaining team without a victory gets the undefeated Renegades on the schedule this week. Justin Jefferson is on a bye, though, and even though the RBs tilt things toward Coach Val's team it just might be the week for FitzCorp to contend for a W.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Lightning
Things may begin on Sunday morning but nothing will be decided in this one until prime time. They'll have a combined seven players active after dinner on Sunday through the MNF double header and it's going to go down to the wire.

And the game of the week...

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
The Brew Crew finally picked up their first win last week and now they have to play the buzzsaw that is the Marauders. Coach Hoss's team has won 11 regular season games in a row and has scored 100+ points in 9 straight regular season games. But don't sleep on the Beermen. They're going to make it really close and we'll know a lot more after tonight's game.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S25: Week 5 Preview

All three division leaders remain undefeated after our highest scoring week so far. But there are still two teams without their first win. It was quite an interesting first set of divisional matchups!

The byes start this week – make sure your team is ready. And don't forget about another 9:30am game on Sunday, this time in Old England!

Week 4 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Baltimorons - 117 points

Player MVPs:
Dak Prescott (QB/Dal/MI) - 30 points
Patrick Mahomes (QB/KC/B) - 29 points
Josh Jacobs (RB/GB/R) - 27 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 18/24 - 75%
Yahoo! Projections: 15/24 - 62.5%

The Comm-nosticator & Yahoo! were both 6/6 in week 4 predictions

Week 5 Information

Thursday Night: San Francisco 49ers @ Los Angeles Rams
Sunday Morning: Minnesota Vikings @ Cleveland Browns
Sunday Night: New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills
Monday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Bye Week: Bears, Falcons, Packers, Steelers

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 5:

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
There are no players on the 'Bums bench who can score any points (byes x4, IR x2), so it's going to be up to their current starting lineup to find some magic against the undefeated Renegades. Anything can happen, but it's not looking great.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Lightning
Speaking of undefeated, Coach Hoss keeps winning and scoring 100+ points in the process. His team hasn't lost a regular season game since week eight of last season. But don't sleep on the Bolts. If they can get healthy they'll make this one close.

Predacons (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc
The Preds scored in the triple digits again and have won two in a row to jump up into fourth place. Now they're projected to have the highest total again, and unless FitzCorp switches out some of their injured players things could get ugly.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Getting Jayden Daniels back this week could be big for the CAPS but it might not be enough. Lots of matchups lean toward the 'Morons to help them get to 5-0. A combined four players across the pond on Sunday morning should make it fun either way.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
What is going on with the Brew Crew? They've had a tough start to the season but they're favored to pick up their first win against Josh Allen and SpiVi here. But that's not going to be easy, even with the Vipers' bye week and injury issues. It should be exciting in prime time.

And the game of the week...

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
This should easily be our best game of the week, with starters from tonight through MNF. Last week the Stompers would have won had they swapped out their IR RB with anyone else on the roster. But the W here will likely come down to the Qs on both sides.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S25: Week 4 Preview

It's only three weeks into the season and we already have our first tie! What's next as we finish up the last round of our first set of divisional matchups?

This week we get the Steelers in Ireland on Sunday morning and another double dose of Monday Night Football for twice the comeback potential.
Seo Linn!

Week 3 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Predacons - 125 points

Player MVPs:
Jalen Hurts (QB/Phi/YB) - 30 points
Caleb Williams (QB/Chi/PEP) - 30 points
Minnesota Vikings Defense (B) - 30 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 12/18 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 9/18 - 50%

Week 4 Information

Thursday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ Arizona Cardinals
Sunday Morning: Minnesota Vikings @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Dallas Cowboys
Monday Evening: New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins
Monday Night: Cincinnati Bengals @ Denver Broncos
Bye Week: None until next week

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 4:

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
Lamar Jackson is sure scoring a lot of points on SpiVi's bench. Does he finally get into the starting lineup this week? The CAPS are currently in last place and searching for a victory this season. There are a lot of red letters next to their reserves, but things are setting up for a big MNF comeback.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Preds finally picked up their first win since the SuperBowl and they did it by outscoring the whole league. If they can get another W here they'll leapfrog the Bolts in the division, but it's going to be close.

Renegades (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
This is usually a fun rivalry game, but probably not this time around. It's looking like the Stompers are starting James Conner tonight despite his being on IR for the rest of the season. And that's not their only problem as it's looking like the Renegades will roll through the divisional games undefeated.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
It starts tonight but this game will stretch throughout week four. In fact the 'Bums have a player going during all 7 game times. And both teams have (more) reasons to tune in to the Steelers in Ireland on Sunday morning.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Not only have the Marauders scored more than 100 points in each game so far, but they've put up almost 80 more total points than our second place team. Plus a win against the winless Corporation would make it 10 regular season victories in a row. Wow.

And the game of the week...

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
It's 3-0 against 0-3 but this matchup will be closer than you might think. The Brew Crew can definitely pull an upset this week, especially with the injury situation and RB choices facing the 'Morons. And the Super Bowl LIX QB matchup will make it even more fun.

Good luck this week.

Thursday, September 18, 2025

3FL Notes: S25: Week 3 Preview

Our first week of divisional games was not any closer than our opening week. In fact the average margin of victory was five points higher than in week 1. But two teams scored more than 100 points and the Marauders outscored everyone again.

Week 2 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 136 points

Player MVPs:
Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR/Det/M) - 29 points
Malik Nabers (WR/NYG/MI) - 28 points
Jonathan Taylor (RB/Ind/M) - 27 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 8/12 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 6/12 - 50%

Week 3 Information

Thursday Night: Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Giants
Monday Night: Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens
Bye Week: None until week 5

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 3:

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
This one is going to be close. The 'Bums have the edge at RB and that might be enough to overcome the FitzCorp WR corps. But we won't know until MNF.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
The Marauders are riding an 8 game regular season winning streak and have outscored the league in both weeks this season. That's pretty good, but it will be even more impressive if they can do it again against PEP and all those RBs with double digit projections.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The winner of this one will remain undefeated and be all alone atop the East Division. The Bolts can get off to a quick start tonight but both teams will end with a player on MNF. After they're forced to watch Mahomes take the field for the 'Morons on Sunday night.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
This is no way to start a title defense. The Preds are 0-2 and in 10th place after our first two weeks. Meanwhile the Brew Crew is also winless so far and they're currently in 11th. At least someone will get their first victory this week.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Both of these teams are also without a win and the Stompers are in last place at the moment. It's looking like they might stay there, too, as they're currently ~20 point underdogs in this matchup of backup QBs.

And the game of the week...

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
They're even at 2-0 and both have scored exactly 174 points through two weeks. The winner will take hold of the West and be among the top three in the league. Can SpiVi stay undefeated with the top scoring player on the bench yet again? Or will it come down to the health of two Packers in Coach Val's lineup?

Good luck this week.

Thursday, September 11, 2025

3FL Notes: S25: Week 2 Preview

The league kicked off our 25th year with a low scoring week one that saw only a single team in triple digits. Our average margin of victory was more than 22 points.

Things should get more competitive as the first set of intradivisional games starts this week. Make sure your team is ready!

Week 1 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 106 points

Player MVPs:
Josh Allen (QB/Buf/R) - 34 points
Derrick Henry (RB/Bal/D) - 27 points
Justin Herbert (QB/LAC/P) - 27 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 4/6 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 2/6 - 33.33%

Week 2 Information

Thursday Night: Washington Commanders @ Green Bay Packers
Sunday Night: Atlanta Falcons @ Minnesota Vikings
Monday Evening: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Houston Texans
Monday Night: Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders
Bye Week: None until week 5

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 2:

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Predacons
This should be a good matchup. But the Preds need to get more than 6 total points from their RBs this week if they want a chance at not starting 0-2. Perhaps they'll see a little Monday Night magic?

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
The Marauders were the only team to eclipse 100 points last week (despite their D draft grade). But this week they're facing the 'Bums and the highest projected score in the league. Literally all of Coach Coaldog's players are active in the 1pm games on Sunday, so perhaps the comeback starts at 4:15pm?

Renegades (-1) vs. the HAW
We'll know a lot more after tonight's game (available only on Amazon Prime Video!) when 5 combined players are active. Then everyone will have to wait until early Tuesday morning EDT to see how the final 3 players did in the late MNF matchup.

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
A win is a win, even if your team is the lowest scoring victor in a week. The Bolts will take it, but they'll likely need more points for a victory here. Unless the Brew Crew has another sub-55 week.

Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
Scoring the fewest points and being in last place is no way to start a season. But the Stompers have a chance at a rebound against SpiVi and their packed QB room. We'll just have to wait until the combined 7 players in prime time sort out the final score.

And the game of the week...

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
One of these teams will pick up their first win after this game. Or maybe we'll end up with a tie? It's going to be a good one, with everything coming down to Bucky Irving on MNF for a PEP comeback.

Good luck this week.

Thursday, September 04, 2025

3FL Notes: S25: Week 1 Preview

Can the Predacons defend the title after their first ever championship victory? Or will we have a new name on the trophy for a second year in a row? And can you believe we're kicking off our 25th season of fantasy football??

It all starts tonight. Get your team ready to go!

And remember, there is also a Friday Night game this week in São Paulo, Brazil. Vamos então!

Week 1 Information

Thursday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Friday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Buffalo Bills
Monday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears
Bye Week: None until week 5

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 1:
The first week is always the toughest to predict, but here goes...

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Marauders
This one won't really start until tomorrow night when they combine to watch five players in Brazil. The CAPS should come out on top, but it will be closer than Yahoo thinks.

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Seems like it's going to be a difficult choice for SpiVi at QB every week. But it's even more interesting this week as both of their signal callers play against each other on Sunday Night. That choice could be the difference in this tight matchup.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1) vs. Baltimorons
Mahomes and the 'Morons will be active in all four game days this week. That will make it fun, but the projections heavily favor PEP (and their A+ draft grade). Still, it will be hard to rule out a MNF comeback.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
So many Eagles are playing in the NFL opener that the winner might be clear before midnight tonight. And they're all on the Brew Crew's side. The 'Bums have the slightest edge here because of their RB tandem, unless Kaleb Johnson surprises us all.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds begin their title defense with a chance for an early lead with players active tonight and tomorrow night. But Coach Val has the lone player on MNF to end the week. And it's Justin Jefferson.

And the game of the week...

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Our first GOTW is a toss up. Either team could win as things are pretty even across the board. It could come down to McCaffrey's injury or a FLEX performance. Or maybe we'll just end up with a tie?

Good luck in Week 1 and for the rest of Season 25!

3FL Notes: 2025 Draft Analysis

Eleven of our twelve teams were represented during the online draft on Wednesday night. Here is an analysis of the results (in draft order):

1. Yuengling Brewers: After selecting the consensus #1 pick the Brew Crew added a LOT of Eagles. That's not necessarily a bad thing. But they're a little light at RB. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: D+)

2. Phys. Ed. Phenoms: The Best Draft Award went to PEP for the third time in their eleven 3FL drafts, but I'm not quite seeing it. They have a solid team, sure, and maybe taking a flyer on a WR with a six game suspension will work out. But that QB situation should drop them down a touch. Grade: A- (Yahoo! Grade: A+)

3. the HAW: I would have awarded the best draft to the CAPS this year. Solid from top to bottom, and the best K and Defense in the rankings. They just have to hope the starters stay healthy. Grade: A (Yahoo! Grade: B-)

4. Predacons: Jahmyr Gibbs is in the backfield again for the defending champs, which should be helpful. But they also repeated their classic draft strategy, waiting too long for a QB. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: C)

5. Dumbbums: Coach Coaldog pulled an A- this year and I feel like that's just about right. The AFC North is very well represented, making up five starters and six players overall. Grade: A- (Yahoo! Grade: A-)

6. Renegades: It's not as bad for the Renegades as the report card would have you believe. They'll be fine, especially if their stars can shine. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: D+)

7. Baltimorons: CeeDee Lamb and Puka and Mahomes should rank a team above average I'd think. There are some troublemakers on the bench though. Grade: C+ (Yahoo! Grade: C+)

8. Marauders: This team is quite good until you get to the FLEX spot. Coach Hoss is going to have to make some tough decisions there. Plus his K might not be kicking in week 1. Grade: C- (Yahoo! Grade: D)

9. Stiletto Stompers: Coach Bev's squad seems to be right down the middle. Some good, some bad, some that we'll have to wait and see. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: B-)

10. Lightning: There is lots to like for the Bolts. They'll need some of the players to return to glory, but they've chosen a solid overall team. As long as you're ok watching Kyler Murray under center. Grade: A- (Yahoo! Grade: A+)

11. Misfits, Inc.: Our only team that was fully autodrafted by Yahoo! received the worst draft grade by Yahoo!? Hmm. Perhaps they should have picked different guys, or at least not made Coach Tim-A root for Dak. Grade: D+ (Yahoo! Grade: D-)

12. Spiked Vipers: So SpiVi went with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson back-to-back at the first turn. I'm still trying to decipher that strategy since it seemed to bring down all the other positions. But maybe after a trade (or something?) it will become more clear. Grade: D+ (Yahoo! Grade: D)

The Comm-nosticator makes his first predictions soon. Stay tuned.
