The Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 11:

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds are the hottest team in the 3FL right now as they bring a two game winning streak into this weekend. They need another win against the 'Morons to have even a reasonable shot at making the playoffs for the seventh straight year. They should probably not get their hopes up.

Misfits (-1) vs. Dumbbums
Coach Jules and the DFO have eight of nine players starting their games at 1pm on Sunday. The 'Bums have five of their players starting after 4pm. It will be wait and see for both teams until late on Monday night.

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Renegades
The team from up north is predicted to win the rest of their regular season games and finish the year with the highest point total in the history of the league. We'll see about all that. But I agree with a win against the Renegades, anyway.

ray ray haw (-1) vs. Marauders
This week it's the haw's turn to have a roster full of favorable matchups, and against the number one team in the league, too. But let's not forget that Coach Hoss was a big underdog last week as well. And Randy Moss is back.

The Comfy Chair (-1/2) vs. Rough Riders
One of these teams will pick up a fourth win, while the other will end up on the fast track to mathmatical elimination from the playoffs. It could go either way, but my vote is for effort.

And the game of the week...

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
These two teams are just about even going into this matchup, and their records (and season point total) could be the same after it is over. Unless LenDale White and/or Steve Smith is/are hurt. Then I'll have to switch my pick...

Good luck this week.

1 comment:

  1. We need to average 75 points per game for the last three games to end up with the highest point total; 51 to make the top five.

To make the best average points per week we need 66.67 per game for the next three weeks to get the top spot; 47.33 to make the top five.

I think I can! I think I can! Come on Lightning!!!

After that, of course the regular season means nothing and I am concerned about the first round of the playoffs. If we can make it past that first round, we'll be in a good position to win the championship. There's not much else we can do about that first playoff game; we just have to hope for a good matchup.
