3FL Notes: S12: Week 8 Preview
What a finish! The Brewers clawed to a Monday night lead only to see it almost vaporize with 30 seconds left in the game. They were lucky to hold on for a 1 point win against the Chair (but I'm pretty sure that Coach Brew was asleep and unaware of the unfolding drama).
Meanwhile, the Stompers are continuing their slide in the wrong direction. Their losing streak has reached 8 (since week 13 of 2011) and they are now tied for 2nd place all time. A loss this week will match our worst streak ever.
Week 7 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Spiked Vipers & THE Haw - 90 points
Player MVPs:
Drew Brees (QB/NO) - 29 points
Josh Freeman (QB/TB) - 26 points
Aaron Rodgers (QB/GB) - 24 points

Week 8 Information
Thursday Night: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Minnesota Vikings
Sunday Night: New Orleans Saints @ Denver Broncos
Monday Night: San Francisco 49ers @ Arizona Cardinals
Bye Week: Ravens, Bills, Bengals, Texans
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 8:
The Comfy Chair (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Brady vs. Rodgers. Two on Sunday night. Three on Monday night. Big scores and big thrills will take this one to the end of the week again for the Chair. It's really a toss up, but it will be fun to see what happens.
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Predacons
As long as the 'Bums pick up some bye player fill-ins, they should be fine this week. The Preds can't seem to put their individual players' good weeks together at the same time. Plus, you know, Jay Cutler.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. THE Haw
Why am I picking the Bolts again? Well, the CAPs have their two best RBs on a bye this week. That should be just enough to let Coach ThadTotti sneak to a victory. Especially with Matt Ryan back in the lineup.
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
This will be a fun one to watch and it has players spread from Thursday until Monday night. But it looks like the Stompers may end up at the top of the losing streak record list after it's all over. Blame it on the great waiver wire pickups of the Corporation.
Marauders (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
It's the battle of division leaders who have scored less than (or equal to) the rest of the teams in their divisions. The Marauders have been falling down the last couple of weeks after a torrid start to the season. I'm blaming Cam Newton. The 'Morons definitely have a chance this one (if they remember to hit the waiver wire before Sunday afternoon).
And the game of the week...
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
It should be a crazy matchup between our two top teams (and top two scorers). These two have combined to score over 1,000 points after our first seven weeks. It will all come down to Sunday night when a combined three Saints decide who ends up in the #1 spot with only five weeks left in the regular season.
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S12: Week 7 Preview
A MNF shootout and a record tying individual performance highlighted a wild week in the 3FL. The Marauders also picked up their first loss in the last seven regular season weeks. What's next?
Week 6 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Renegades - 90 points
Player MVPs:
Aaron Rodgers (QB/GB) - 42 points (T-5th all time)
Robert Griffin III (QB/Was) - 25 points
Jordy Nelson (WR/GB) - 24 points

Week 7 Information
Thursday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers
Sunday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
Monday Night: Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears
Bye Week: Dolphins, Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Eagles, Falcons
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 7:
THE Haw (-1) vs. Predacons
The CAPs gave our only remaining undefeated team their first loss last week. Now they'll face the surprising Preds, who may or may not be returning Jay Cutler to the starting QB position. At least Coach Sinkerbeam will get to watch the implosion of his team on Monday night.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
The Bolts have their starting QB, RB and TE on a bye. That should be a sure loss for any fantasy football team, but for some reason the matchups are going to make this one close. It's all going to come down to a couple of coaching decisions and the Steelers/Bengals game on Sunday night. You know we all can't wait to hear Al Michaels say Roethlisberger.
Marauders (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Coach Hoss took his first loss last week (and his team only scored 24 points in the effort). FitzCorp doubled their win total with a Peyton Manning MNF second half outburst. In fact, the 5-1 Marauders have scored 31 less points than the 2-4 Corporation this season. But none of that matters. What matters is that a combined six starters are on a bye.
Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
The Stompers haven't had much luck this year. They have lost six straight (seven if you go back to week 13 of 2011). The 'Morons have lost their last three in a row. So the good news here is that one of them will break their streak and pick up a win. The bad news is that we all have to vote before either of them hits the waiver wire to pick up two starters each.
And the games of the week...
The Comfy Chair (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
We'll begin and end the NFL week with players from this battle of the 4-2s. A combined four will play tonight and then the Brewers' D will attempt to push them ahead on MNF. It's almost too close to call, but I'm going with the team that will be starting an angry Tom Brady.
Renegades (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
Yes, a second game of the week. How could I just pick one of these two amazing matchups? This one will feature Rodgers vs. Brees in what should be the highest flying game of the year. SpiVi is 2nd overall in scoring, but the 'Gades outscored the rest of the league for the past two weeks in a row. The points are coming in waves. And we'll know the winner by 7:30pm on Sunday night.
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S12: Week 6 Preview
The Marauders kept winning, the Stompers kept losing, and the Renegades posted the most weekly points in three years. Plus, the Brewers are still on pace to break the season total points record.
The next two months should be very interesting.
Week 5 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Renegades - 119 points (T-4th all time)
Player MVPs:

Chicago Bears Defense - 27 points

Week 6 Information
Thursday Night: Tennessee Titans @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Houston Texans
Monday Night: Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers
Bye Week: Panthers, Bears, Jaguars, Saints
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 6:
The Comfy Chair (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers have fallen to 0-5, but things are going to be very close this week against the Chair. The matchups are even and it should be a great game. But Willis McGehee will score just enough points on MNF to keep the furniture ahead of the winless footwear.
THE Haw (-1/2) vs. Marauders
The Marauders got away with one against the Preds, but with Cam Newton on a bye it may make this the week they earn their first loss. The CAPs definitely have the roster to get this win - as long as they pick the right Defense. And everyone is going to need to make it through a bunch of prime time players.
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
It's been a rough start of the year for FitzCorp. They only have one win and are at the bottom of their division. The 'Morons have a winning record and are at the top of their division. But the Corporation has scored 43 more points in 2012 than their game counterpart. Is this the week where it starts to even out and make sense? For these two anyway...
Lightning (-1) vs. Predacons
Interesting fact - the Preds would have defeated the undefeated Marauders last week if they had started Jay Cutler. It doesn't seem like it matters who they start this week. The Bolts are second in the league in scoring. The Preds are last, and a turnaround is nowhere in sight.
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
The 'Bums have a shot at an upset this week, especially with Drew Brees on a bye. We'll know plenty more after tonight's Steelers game (when 1/3 of Coach Coaldog's team is on the field). But it's more likely that the other prime time games hold the keys to this matchup.
And the game of the week...
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Renegades
The Brewers have been a juggernaut all year. The Renegades have been on the rise and scored almost 120 points last week. This one is going to be great. And it's going to come down to Sunday night. Unless the Brewers forget to start a Defense - then all of this means nothing and I want to switch my pick.
Good luck this week.
The next two months should be very interesting.

3FL Notes: S12: Week 5 Preview
What a high-flying week!
Half of the league scored in the 80s and it ended up as our second highest scoring week of all time. And we now only have one undefeated and one winless team.
Can you believe we're already almost a third of the way through the regular season?
Week 4 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: The Comfy Chair - 88 points
Player MVPs:
Tom Brady (QB/NE) - 30 points

Week 5 Information
Thursday Night: Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams
Sunday Night: San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints
Monday Night: Houston Texans @ New York Jets
Bye Week: Cowboys, Lions, Raiders, Buccaneers
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 5:
Marauders (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Marauders stand alone as our last undefeated team and they look to continue their roll against the low scoring Preds. Even though his team got back on track last week, Coach Sinkerbeam will now have to pair underachievement with a heavy bye week. Good luck with that.
Yuengling Brewers (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Brew Crew suffered its first loss last week, ending their winning streak at seven games. The Stompers are off to a terrible start but the league's lowest scorers could have a surprise in store this week for the league's highest scorers. Like, a prime time comeback type of surprise.
THE Haw (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Any other week would have FitzCorp favored. But with bye week fill-ins starting at RB and WR for the Corporation, the slightest of edges goes to the CAPs (you know, like Capital Letters). Both teams also get the agonizing stretch of Thursday through Sunday night action.
Renegades (-1) vs. Dumbbums
Hey! There is #1 draft choice Aaron Rodgers! He was hiding behind the couch the whole time!! The Renegades QB finally had a break out week and gave them their first victory of 2012. Can he keep it up? One of these two will double their W total this week and the other will have an uphill battle for a playoff spot.
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
If there is any team with a shot to give the Vipers their second loss, it's the Bolts during this week. It should be a close one right down to Sunday night when each team has two players going for their final say. Stream it live at NBC Sports: SNF All Access, where you can change the camera angles live on your computer. Make some nachos first.
And the game of the week...
The Comfy Chair (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
With a starter at every game time this week, the 'Morons will slowly build up their score against the Chair. Coach Skrabby and last week's top scoring team don't have any prime time or weekday games. But they do have Tom Brady. So there's that.
Good luck this week.
