3FL Notes: S21: Week 12 Preview

The battle between our two top scoring teams ended up being the lowest scoring game of the week. And there are still zero claimed postseason spots with only three weeks to go.

All teams have now played each other one time and we're back to divisional battles to wrap up the regular season and figure out our playoff seedings. This should be a fun week full of drama and turkey!

Player MVPs:
Jonathan Taylor (RB/Ind/P) - 49 points (2nd all-time)

Aaron Rodgers (QB/GB/D) - 33 points

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 12:

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
These two teams have matching records and the winner will take sole control of the West Division with only a couple of games left in the regular season. They might also lock in a playoff spot. Jonathan Taylor won't score 49(!) points again this week but the Preds have a slight advantage (even though a majority of their WRs are questionable).

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Our other battle in the West features two teams fighting for the eighth spot. It will be an exciting start today with multiple Thanksgiving players but it won't end until two players from each squad play in the prime time games. The winner might be decided by which coach checks their lineup closest to gametime.

Marauders (-1) vs. Baltimorons
Coach Hoss' team is coming off an uncharacteristically low scoring week but they are still at the top of the standings and comfortably have the points lead. They should get back on track (as 25 point favorites) against the 'Morons and their random assortment of RBs thanks to byes and Os and IRs. A Marauders win would also clinch the East Division.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
Don't look now but the Renegades finally got some players back and have scored 100+ points for two weeks in a row. They're eliminated from postseason play, but there are obviously dinner table bragging rights on the line here. Perhaps they can officially knock PEP out of playoff contention. That would be something to talk about all off-season.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
SpiVi managed to beat our #1 team last week despite a negative kicker total and getting only two points from Patrick Mahomes. Now they get to face our #2 team with Mahomes (and Kelce) on a bye. It won't be easy but this one will be closer than it first appears. And with a player in every single time slot it will also take five days to be decided.

And the game of the week...

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Lighting
Herbert and Ekeler helped the CAPS outscore the league last week with big performances on Sunday night. They're projected to be the high scorers on their team again in this one, but the Bolts will put up a fight with their heavy hitters playing on Thanksgiving day and this Sunday night. It will be even closer if they swap out their bye week kicker.

Happy Thanksgiving and good luck this week!
