3FL Notes: S15: Week 14 (Quarterfinals) Preview

The Phenoms ended their inaugural season with another win, making it seven in a row to end the season. They know about the curse, right? In other news there was some reshuffling of our playoff seeds back to what seems to be appropriate.

Remember that ROSTERS WILL LOCK AT 1pm THIS SUNDAY, December 13th. Under our newly elected playoff rules you will be allowed to make 1 add/drop per week once the postseason starts, but only teams still in the winners bracket will be eligible to make a move (with waivers set in reverse order of seeding).

Three wins in a row wins it all!!

The Comm-nosticator is finished for the year, but game previews are not...

#1 Phys. Ed. Phenoms vs. #8 Yuengling Brewers
WOW. The Phenoms carved up the league in their first season, ending up with our top seed and the best season record in four years. Their only loss came all the way back in week one and they are currently riding a seven game winning streak. The Brew Crew is at the other end of the spectrum, limping into the postseason with the worst qualifying record in eight years. They have also lost their last two in a row and four of their last five. But while this game doesn't sound like it will be exciting, let's remember that the curse doesn't take these sort of things into consideration.

#2 Baltimorons vs. #7 Lightning
After a scorching start and a reality check in the middle of the season, the 'Morons scored in the triple digits last week and retook the points lead to finish the season. These two split their divisional games this season but the matchups this week favor Coach Drew. The Bolts only hope will be a breakout game by Tannehill on MNF.

#3 Marauders vs. #6 Misfits, Inc.
This one is another divisional matchup and a repeat of a game from last week. FitzCorp would be happy with that same result (an 11 point victory) but I'm sure they'd settle for a win by any amount. Coach Hoss has actually lost three straight since wrapping up the South Division title and his team is the underdogs in this one. Can Cam Newton keep up his points pace? Or will Tom Brady get back on track and pull a Sunday night upset?

#4 the HAW vs. #5 Predacons
The Preds saw Darren McFadden score an unlikely late TD last Monday night to secure the five seed (by three points) and face the HAW. We know they will probably choose the wrong QB and at least one wrong WR, but can they beat the four-time champs anyway? This season has been uneven for the CAPS even though they secured a top four seed and another division title. They have a lot of Ps and Qs but Big Ben and Antonio Brown have the ability to score enough points for a whole team.

Good luck in the playoffs! The trophy awaits!
