3FL Notes: S26: Week 7 Preview

The league just scored our lowest weekly total since W11 of the 2019 season, and both of our undefeated teams took their first loss. What's next?

The NFL is playing their first ever game in Paris on Sunday morning when the Steelers take on the Saints. Make sure your team is set. Faites tous attention là-bas!

Week 6 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 106 points

Player MVPs:
Kenneth Walker III (RB/KC/M) - 25 points
Drake Maye (QB/NE/tH) - 24 points
Christian McCaffrey (RB/SF/MI) - 21 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 20/36 - 55.56%
Yahoo! Projections: 16/36 - 44.44%

Week 7 Information

Thursday Night: New England Patriots @ Chicago Bears
Sunday Morning: Pittsburgh Steelers @ New Orleans Saints
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks
Monday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Bye Week: Bills, Chargers, Commanders, Jaguars

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 7:

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Preds are now 2nd in scoring this season but are somehow 11th in the standings. They get to play the #12 team this week, but based on how things have gone for them lately, this could really go either way. At least one of them gets to pick up a 2nd win.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
They've won their last three but the Brew Crew has to turn to Aaron Rodgers in Paris this week thanks to a bye. Meanwhile SpiVi sure could use the boost from Lamar Jackson getting healthy. It's really anybody's game.

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Here's a tough one to call this early. It's projected to be close, but a few moves could put FitzCorp in a much better spot. They haven't made a single add/drop this season, though, so it's hard to predict the outcome. Replacing a player in the starting FLEX spot who is on a bye and on IR at the same time is the first step.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
These two are headed in opposite directions. The 'Morons have won three in a row and the Renegades have lost their last three. But the matchups are favoring Coach Val's squad, especially at WR. We'll know more after tonight but perhaps both of their streaks end after this game.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
PEP lost their first game last week, and they could fall out of first place if the CAPS continue their high-flying ways. Both teams have bye weeks to deal with, but we'll have to wait for a couple of WRs on MNF to decide the outcome.

And the game of the week...

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Lighting
It's a toss up. And it will be even better with a player in every time slot across the week. Qs might play a big part, as well as the Marauders' QB choice. But it will all come down to prime time.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S26: Week 6 Preview

The undefeated Phenoms and Dumbbums both won again in our highest scoring week of the year, and the Spiked Vipers picked up their first victory too. Also, the HAW posted our second highest weekly point total of all time! Wow!!

Don't forget there is another game across the pond at 9:30am on Sunday.

Week 5 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: the HAW - 162 points (2nd all-time)

Player MVPs:
Drake Maye (QB/NE/tH) - 39 points
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB/Det/SV) - 32 points
Jaylen Warren (RB/Pit/tH) - 30 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 15/30 - 50%
Yahoo! Projections: 12/30 - 40%

Week 6 Information

Thursday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ Denver Broncos
Sunday Morning: Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers
Monday Night: Washington Commanders @ San Francisco 49ers
Bye Week: Dolphins, Lions, Vikings

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 6:

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
If there was a time for the 11 to beat the 1, it's probably this week. PEP has three important starters on a bye and is actually a slight underdog going into Thursday night. But they have found a way to remain undefeated through the first third of the season. We'll see if they can stay on top.

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
This one may come down to which team can replace their bye week players with the best available options. The Corp. has the edge based on points scored this season and they're poised for a Sunday night comeback.

Baltimorons (-1) vs. Lightning
So far the Bolts have been both our highest scoring team (3x) and on the wrong end of the biggest blowout. This game will likely look more like the latter, with injuries and matchups heavily favoring the 'Morons, whose only question is which top tier QB will get the start.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
SpiVi earned their first win last week and they have a chance to double that total here. Our defending champ is struggling in the win/loss column this year, despite being our third highest scoring team. We'll know a lot more after tonight but TNF is not usually kind to Coach Sinkerbeam.

Yuengling Brewers (-1) vs. Dumbbums
Last week the 'Bums were an 18-point underdog but they won anyway, staying undefeated and running their winning streak to 7 games. This week they're a 20-point underdog against the surging Brew Crew, who are projected to put up 100+. Something has to give.

And the game of the week...

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Renegades
This is going to be a good one. The CAPS are coming off the second highest scoring week in our history and now lead the league in scoring. The matchups here are even, but a lot is riding on the Bears/Falcons game.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S26: Week 5 Preview

Our three division leaders are the only teams in the league with winning records, which seems like a pretty odd thing to be happening. But then again it was quite an interesting first set of divisional matchups.

The byes start this week so make sure your team is ready. And don't forget about another 9:30am game in England on Sunday!

Week 4 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Lightning - 114 points

Player MVPs:
Tetairoa McMillan (WR/Car/L) - 31 points
Kenneth Walker III (RB/KC/M) - 29 points
Kyle Monangai (RB/Chi/L) - 26 points
Bijan Robinson (RB/Atl/R) - 26 points
Javonte Williams (RB/Dal/P) - 26 points
Kyren Williams (RB/LAR/tH) - 26 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 11/24 - 45.83%
Yahoo! Projections: 9/24 - 37.50%

Week 5 Information

Thursday Night: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Dallas Cowboys
Sunday Morning: Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons
Monday Night: Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Rams
Bye Week: Chiefs, Panthers

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 5:

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
This one should be entertaining. These two teams are both 2-2 and 7th & 8th in the standings, and only 10 points separate their totals. It will be fun to watch their Ds face each other in London, but the edge goes to the 'Morons thanks to FitzCorp's 6 Qs.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
You would think when it's #1 vs. #11 and also highest scoring vs. lowest scoring team it would be easy to predict the outcome. So why is this one going to be so close? I'm still picking PEP to remain undefeated but they'll likely be sweating while watching a Sunday Night Football comeback.

Renegades (-1) vs. Dumbbums
The 'Bums are undefeated after our first four weeks despite having the third lowest point total. But that could easily change after this matchup. It will come down to the prime time games and the health of the Eagles RB1.

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Marauders
There is only 1 win between these two so they're both looking for a spark. SpiVi is our lone winless team but they'll be favored by a bit. It will be helpful for either team to have some of their Qs turn into...not any red letter at all?

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
Three of our four weeks have ended with the Bolts as our highest scoring team (or tied for it), but this week looks to be more difficult for them. And somehow there are a combined 4 players on a bye even though only 2 NFL teams are off this week. It will last from tonight all the way through MNF with a player active in every time slot.

And the game of the week...

Predacons (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Our 2x defending champs are 1-3 and currently sitting outside the playoff eight. But they do have the third highest point total. Meanwhile the only other team with back-to-back titles is fourth in scoring (and fourth in the standings). Can the Preds get back on track or will the CAPS complete a Monday night comeback? Their choice of QBs might make the difference.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S26: Week 4 Preview

We're three weeks into the season and only two teams remain undefeated. We'll see if they can keep it that way in our last week of the first set of divisional games (and before the bye weeks start).

This week we get the Steelers on Thursday night and a Sunday morning game in London. Right then, shall we?

Week 3 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: the HAW - 122 points

Player MVPs:
Jahmyr Gibbs (RB/Det/SV) - 33 points
Brock Purdy (QB/SF/PEP) - 32 points
Bijan Robinson (RB/Atl/R) - 32 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 8/18 - 44.44%
Yahoo! Projections: 7/18 - 38.89%

Week 4 Information

Thursday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
Sunday Morning: Indianapolis Colts @ Washington Commanders
Sunday Night: Detroit Lions @ Carolina Panthers
Monday Night: Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints
Bye Week: None until next week

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 4:

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
We only have one winless team left, but SpiVi has a good chance to change that this week. They'll need to make the right call at the FLEX position, but Jahmyr Gibbs could be set to push them to a comeback victory on SNF no matter what.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Predacons
This might end up as our first tie of the season. It should be a really good matchup (other than the combined 5 Qs at the moment) and it will be over late on Sunday night with three Panthers finalizing the score.

Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Yes, the 'Bums are undefeated and in second place. And, yes, the Stompers just picked up their first W last week and are last in the league in scoring. But the matchups lean toward an upset, especially if there is a change at QB.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Lightning
They currently have matching records and are even across the lineups, but whoever wins will end up all alone atop the North. A player in each NFL time slot will make it even more exciting.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Marauders
Both of these teams have players starting tonight, but we'll have a winner just after dinner on Sunday. Can Coach Hoss pick the right QB? That might be the difference.

And the game of the week...

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Renegades
After three weeks these teams only have one loss between them. The projections point to a tie, which is not out of the question. But MNF will see four combined starters attempt to give house bragging rights in this Eastern Conference battle.

Good luck this week.
