We have a new top team after a high-flying week. Every team now has at least three wins and three losses, and the difference between #1 and #12 is only two games with six to go.
We're back to NFL team byes and there is another Sunday morning game (in Deutschland) this week. It should be interesting!

Sunday Night: Buffalo Bills @ Cincinnati Bengals
Monday Night: Los Angeles Chargers @ New York Jets
Bye Week: 49ers, Broncos, Jaguars, Lions
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 9:
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
That was quite a comeback by FitzCorp. They were down 15 points going into MNF but ended up winning by 9, mostly thanks to Jahmyr Gibbs. But he's on a bye this week and the Bolts are the team with three players in prime time.
Dumbbums (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers were on the wrong end of the biggest blowout last week, and that just might happen again in this one. Their bench will be of no help at all – between byes and injuries those players are projected to score zero total points. The 'Bums won't put up crazy numbers but it should be enough for a W.
Predacons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
What a slide the Preds are on. After winning their first four games and sitting alone atop the league, they have just dropped their last four in a row and hold our current longest losing streak. That might be extended this week against SpiVi, but they're on their own two game skid. At least one of them will pick up a win.
Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Their record may be .500, but the 'Morons are tied for second in the league in scoring and are projected to have the highest score in the league this week. That spells trouble for the CAPS, who have two important WRs on a bye and some tough matchups on the schedule.
Marauders (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
This is going to be a good one. The Marauders just jumped up into the top spot last week and the Brew Crew is sitting in second. This game will be all you'd expect from a 1 vs. 2 matchup. We'll know where things are headed after the Sunday morning game in Germany, with four Dolphins leading the charge for Coach Hoss.
And the game of the week...
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Renegades
It's always fun to watch this matchup, and this year might be the best one in a while. These two teams have the same record, are #7 and #8 in the standings and are within 20 total points of each other for the year. And PEP has won their last four in a row. Can Coach Val end that streak? Or will Joe Burrow throw to someone other than Ja'Marr Chase on SNF and secure the victory and house bragging rights?
Good luck this week.
