Everyone came back down to earth last week and we combined for a much lower total. In fact, half the league scored fewer than 80 points. Our average margin of victory was half of what it was in week 1.

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 3:

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers

These two will need to keep an eye on injuries as 4 starting WRs and 3 bench RBs have red Qs beside their names. A healthy roster will give an edge, but the BAL @ DAL game looms larger.

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. the HAW

A combined 9 transactions for these teams matches the current total for the rest of the league. That might also hint at the story of their seasons so far. But SpiVi is projected as the high score of the week, which would give them their first win (and not all because of the CAPS benching Drake Maye).

Baltimorons (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers have struggled to put up points in our first two games and it's not looking like it will get a lot better this week. Their WRs give them a slight chance at an upset, but I'd take the 'Morons to cruise to victory.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Renegades
These teams are evenly matched and both lost their starting QB to injury last week. The Renegades can get off to a big start tonight, but it will all come down to the Ks in prime time.

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.

The Bolts only doubled their opponent's score last week (vs. tripling it in W1) so maybe they're returning to the mean? They might not get the biggest blowout for a third straight time, but the Corporation is going to need some luck to keep it close.

And the game of the week...

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Marauders

If Saquon plays then the scales tip the tiniest amount toward the 2-0 'Bums in this tight matchup. If not can I switch my pick? There is at least one player in every time slot this week so it's a marathon GOTW.
