And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 9:

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Predacons
SpiVi outscored everyone again last week, keeping them on track to shatter the season points record. They're actually projected for our high total again. Imagine that. The Preds will put up a fight (starting with Davante Adams tonight), but it probably won't be enough.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
It's tough when your number one pick has scored only a single point through the first eight weeks of the season. But that's exactly what happened with Michael Thomas for the 'Morons. There's a chance that he's finally back for this one against Coach Hoss, and maybe that's the start of a season turnaround. Or maybe not.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
The Brew Crew is headed in the wrong direction. They've lost their last three and have dropped from the second spot all the way down to eighth in that time. They're still clinging to a playoff spot but they have to find a way to give Mahomes some support. We'll have to wait through the prime time games for the final result.

Stiletto Stompers (-1) vs. Lightning
The Bolts have been sleepwalking through the season so far and their record shows it. Although the Stompers and Lamar Jackson are somehow in the same boat. Not that they need the help, but starting a TE on the IR is not a great idea. Did you guess which team I was talking about, though?

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
This is a matchup that currently features three RBs on IR, but one of those might flip to be the long awaited return of overall #1 pick Christian McCaffrey for the CAPS. QB performances will also be key as the score will remain tight until things are finally figured out on MNF.

And the game of the week...

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Last week Dalvin Cook scored 46 points while sitting on the Renegades' bench. He's in the lineup this week, but will that be enough to take down FitzCorp and halt their winning streak at six games? It's a great matchup but the WR differential might be too big for an upset.

Good luck this week.
