3FL Notes: S18: Week 16 (SuperBowl) Preview
There wasn't a lot of late drama in the quarterfinals, but we're set up for an exciting SuperBowl week in all of our matchups!
Remember that the Thursday games are finally finished but there are two Saturday games this week. The last game of our playoffs is this Monday night. Merry Christmas Eve of football!
Week 15 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums & Yuengling Brewers - 89 points
Player MVPs:
Derrick Henry (RB/Ten/D) - 29 points
DeAndre Hopkins (WR/Hou/YB) - 29 points
Marlon Mack (RB/Ind/YB) - 24 points
Joe Mixon (RB/Cin/L) - 24 points
Playoff Predictions Tally
Yahoo! Projections: 4/8 - 50%
Week 16 Information
Saturday Late: Washington Redskins @ Tennessee Titans
Saturday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks
Monday Night: Denver Broncos @ Oakland Raiders
It's SuperBowl week in the 3FL!
For 7th Place:
#1 Predacons vs. #3 Marauders
Well, this is disappointing. All the expectations for both of these teams at the end of the regular season have turned into a battle to not finish in eighth place. Will JuJu play? What happened Brees and Goff during the playoffs? It's going to be a great game, but does it really matter at this point?
For 5th Place:
#2 Yuengling Brewers vs. #5 the HAW
The Brew Crew returned to a respectable score one week too late. Now they have a chance to face the CAPS to win the consolation bracket and start next season on a two game winning streak. This should be a high scoring and competitive matchup. They even have the same number of Os and Qs.
For 3rd Place:
#7 Spiked Vipers vs. #8 Baltimorons
The luck ran out for both of our lowest seeds after turning the bracket upside down in the quarterfinals. That's OK for everyone else, as SpiVi is projected to put up the highest total this week. The 'Morons couldn't overcome their injuries to get a shot at a fifth title but the winner here will get a digital bronze trophy. So there's that.
3FL SuperBowl XVIII
#4 Lightning vs. #6 Dumbbums
Here we go! It's not the final that Vegas predicted, but it's going to be a good one. These two teams are evenly matched and they have players in every time slot of SuperBowl weekend. Coach Thad will try to win his second championship while Coach Coaldog is aiming to etch his name on the trophy for the third time. Yahoo! is projecting this to be the lowest scoring game of the week, so starting lineup decisions are going be important.
Can Big Ben lead the 'Bums to a win (and the Steelers to a playoff berth)? Will Julio Jones be healthy enough to play for the Bolts? It will all come down to a 3rd WR and a TE you've never heard of on MNF while Santa begins his deliveries.
Merry Christmas and good luck this week!
Thanks to all for another fun season!!

3FL Notes: S18: Week 15 (Semifinals) Preview
The curse strikes again!! The Preds were beaten by the #8 seed 'Morons and our top regular season team now has only a single title in 18 seasons. And the 2nd and 3rd seed are also in the consolation bracket after the quarterfinals. Yikes.
All individual team pages (see links on the sidebar) and the 3FL Records have been updated and show statistics through the end of the 2018 regular season. This year's additions to the records page are in bold - and there are a lot of them! Through 1,422 regular season games we have scored a combined 183,766 points.
Don't forget about the two Saturday games this week (in addition to Thursday night). Make sure your lineup is set.
Week 14 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums - 102 points
Player MVPs:
Amari Cooper (WR/Dal/D) - 39 points (T-3rd, playoffs all-time)
Saquon Barkley (RB/NYG/B) - 25 points
JuJu Smith-Schuster (WR/Pit/M) - 25 points

Thursday Night: Los Angeles Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs

Saturday Night: Cleveland Browns @ Denver Broncos
Sunday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ Los Angeles Rams
Monday Night: New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers
Semifinal Games
(Winners play in 3FL SuperBowl XVIII, losers play for 3rd Place)
#4 Lightning vs. #8 Baltimorons
It was no surprise that the defending champs knocked off the #1 seed to make it to the second round of the playoffs. But it is a bit of a surprise that the Bolts are now the highest seeded team that's still in the championship bracket. Coach Thad will be the underdog here, too, and he'll have to make all of the right decisions to beat the favorable matchups of the 'Morons this week. It would be a shame to be just a TE away from a SuperBowl birth.
#6 Dumbbums vs. #7 Spiked Vipers
Our two top scoring teams from last week meet each other for a chance at the championship. They've been an even matchup all year, earning the same record and having only 11 points separate them after 14 weeks. The story here is that both of their starting QBs are questionable and SpiVi's Wentz might be out for the year. Will they spend their one add/drop trying to pick from the waiver wire for a replacement? Or will McCaffrey and Kelce help them advance by exceeding their already high projections?
Consolation Games
(Winners play for 5th Place, losers play for 7th)
#1 Predacons vs. #5 the HAW
All of the curses were just too much for the Preds to break. Despite their 10 win season and tying (with the HAW) for the scoring lead this season, the result ended up the same as the past 17 seasons. Meanwhile the CAPS had a down week in the quarterfinals, scoring more than 35 points less than their (league high) point estimate. All that said, this will be a good matchup that extends late into the prime time games.
#2 Yuengling Brewers vs. #3 Marauders
This wasn't supposed to happen. These two were supposed to be battling for a shot at the SuperBowl. But instead they meet here to try for 5th place at best. The Brew Crew had a strong year, but they waited until the playoffs to score their lowest total since...well since the week before. But the Marauders were in good shape even going into MNF last week. It took a silly performance by the Bears D for them to end up here. It might be our best matchup of the week (especially if both star RBs actually play), but the thrill is gone.
Good luck this week. The SuperBowl awaits!

3FL Notes: S18: Week 14 (Quarterfinals) Preview
The last four playoff spots were taken by teams that won their matchups in order to get in. It's already shaping up to be an exciting run to SuperBowl XVIII!
Remember that ROSTERS WILL LOCK AT 1pm THIS SUNDAY, December 9th. Under our playoff rules you will be allowed to make 1 add/drop per week once the postseason starts, but only teams still in the winners bracket will be eligible to make a move (with waivers set in reverse order of seeding).
Three wins in a row wins it all!!

Monday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Seattle Seahawks
The Comm-nosticator is finished for the year, but game previews are not...
#1 Predacons vs. #8 Baltimorons
The Preds won ten games, tied as our top scoring team and earned our top spot, so now they have to deal with the curse of the #1 seed too. We all know what's going to happen to them this postseason. It's just a matter of when. Their loss might come as soon as this week, as the defending champion 'Morons are our hottest team despite their seeding. They've won their last three and have the highest projected point total of the week.
#2 Yuengling Brewers vs. #7 Spiked Vipers
It all came down to last week's game for SpiVi and they left no doubt, outscoring the rest of the league and punching the final ticket to the postseason. Now they get to play the team that had the lowest score last week. The Brew Crew saw a resurgence this season but all those Qs from our regular season finale remain. Who is going to actually make it onto the field?
#3 Marauders vs. #6 Dumbbums
The 'Bums won't have their top RB for the playoffs so they'll have to come up with another solution. Replacing 200+ points won't be easy though. Still, this one looks to be our best game of the quarterfinals. These teams are evenly matched and Sunday Night Football will give us an exciting ending. Just one thing - I know it's only Thursday, but are these two serious about their Defensive starters?
#4 Lightning vs. #5 the HAW
Our battle in the middle of the standings is going to stretch from tonight all the way through MNF. The Bolts have won their last three in a row but this one is going to be tougher, with the matchups heavily favoring the CAPS. Coach Thad will need a good showing tonight and he'll need to make all the right lineup decisions because prime time belongs to the HAW.
Good luck in the playoffs! The trophy awaits!

3FL Notes: S18: Week 13 Preview
Last week we saw two MNF comebacks that punched two more postseason tickets. Plus the 'Morons outscored the league again to be our fourth qualifier (even though they're our 9th best team). All of the divisions are decided, but we're on track to break some season-long records this week, and with half of the playoff spots still available it should be quite a finale!
Week 12 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Baltimorons - 114 points
Player MVPs:
Christian McCaffrey (RB/Car/SV) - 35 points
Amari Cooper (WR/Dal/D) - 30 points
Deshaun Watson (QB/Hou/L) - 29 points
Predictions Tally
The Comm-nosticator: 44/72 - 61.11%
Yahoo! Projections: 40/72 - 55.56%
Week 13 Information
Thursday Night: New Orleans Saints @ Dallas Cowboys
Sunday Night: Los Angeles Chargers @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Monday Night: Washington Redskins @ Philadelphia Eagles
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 13:
Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
This might be the year that a division winner squeezes out a team that's higher in the standings. Our defending champion has already clinched the South (and the postseason spot that comes with it), and the Stompers are stuck in last place. So there's really nothing to see here.
Renegades (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds have been at the top of the league for the past three weeks. But is that a good thing? We all know about the curse of the #1 seed, and it's looking like the Renegades can help in dropping them out of that spot. So then all they'll have to worry about is the 0-18 championships thing.
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
Our two top scoring teams get to battle it out this week. Only four points separate them, and they're both on track to break the all time record for points scored in a season. You'd think it should be a high-flying game but they have ten Qs between them. Ten.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
PEP really needed a win last week but they ended up with only 61 points and at the wrong side of the Biggest Blowout™. There is still a sliver of a chance that they could make the postseason, but they'll need a win against the Bolts and A LOT of help. Coach Thad is in fourth place but it's still possible that even he could miss the playoffs with a loss here.
the HAW (-1/2) vs Marauders
The Marauders have won the West but the perennial powerhouse CAPS are right in the thick of the .500 group still clawing for a postseason spot. They're projected to score the highest point total in the league this week, but we all know how that goes. Coach HAW will need to make all of the right starting lineup decisions and then kind of root against the Steelers on Sunday night.
And the game of the week...
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
It all comes down to this. These teams have the same record and are within three points of each other coming into this matchup. The 'Morons are putting a wrench into the system, though, so the winner here is in and the loser will have to have a lot of things work in their favor. It's going to be interesting to have FitzCorp root against a couple of Eagles on MNF.
Good luck this week.

Sunday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
Monday Night: Tennessee Titans @ Houston Texans
Bye Week: Chiefs, Rams
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 12:
Marauders (-1/2) vs. Renegades
When your team is struggling the last thing you need is to have your starting QB benched in the middle of his game. Of course we can trace the Renegades difficulty this year all the way back to the drafting of Le'Veon Bell. Who is still on their bench for some reason. Are they advocating a keeper league for next year?
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
These two teams are headed in opposite directions and this game is actually for the division lead in the East. That would have been crazy talk just two weeks ago. The Corporation has been leaning heavily on Pat Mahomes, but he's on a bye this week. That makes things more difficult but all those Brew Crew Qs will help.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds are still in first place and are now two games up with two games to go. The Bolts would put themselves in a great spot with a win here. It will be an even matchup but Coach Sinkerbeam has so many players today that it will be stressful watching as the Lightning finish the comeback 4 1/2 days from now on MNF.
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
It has to be hard watching one of the most amazing MNF performances happen as a comeback for your week 11 opponent. That leaves the 'Bums hanging on to 7th place but with their best RB on a bye. They should still win, but wouldn't it be fun for the Stompers to make things difficult?
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Things look a little different for our highest scoring team when their best players are all on a bye at the same time. The CAPS will look to replace Gurley, Cooks and Tyreek Hill against SpiVi this week. And Coach Nick is happy with that scheduling, as they need some wins and some help to claw their way into the postseason (even though they have the same record as the three teams above them in the standings).
And the game of the week...
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
Whoa. It's not overstating things to say that the whole season may come down to this game for each of these two teams. The winner takes control of the South (and the automatic playoff spot that comes with that) with only one week remaining. PEP is all in, with four waiver claims already on Wednesday morning. We'll all be watching a K on MNF to decide it!
Happy Thanksgiving and good luck this week!
Only one playoff spot is claimed with just two weeks to go. Here's to an exciting week full of drama and turkey!

3FL Notes: S18: Week 11 Preview
We continue to rewrite the record book his season. Coach HAW almost matched his best ever weekly team total and it was another top five league total for the week.
Remember that there are six teams on a bye again. We're back to divisional games and all eight postseason berths are still up for grabs with only three weeks remaining. Here we go!
Week 10 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: the HAW - 147 points (2nd all-time)
Player MVPs:
Ben Roethlisberger (QB/Pit/D) - 38 points
Nick Chubb (RB/Cle/MI) - 32 points
Christian McCaffrey (RB/Car/SV) - 31 points
Predictions Tally
The Comm-nosticator: 36/60 - 60%
Yahoo! Projections: 33/60 - 55%
Week 11 Information
Thursday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks
Sunday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears
Monday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Los Angeles Rams
Bye Week: 49ers, Bills, Browns, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 11:
the HAW (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The CAPS now own the top two highest weekly team point totals in our history. And both of those records were set in the past five weeks. The Preds may hold the #1 seed for now, but 140+ point totals aren't concerned with the standings.
Marauders (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
So the Marauders are technically at the top of the West at the moment (thanks to their division record), and they can stay there with a win this week. The matchups are just about even. It will come down to personnel decisions.
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
The Brew Crew managed to fill in all of those bye week slots and are projected to score in the double digits. They just have to hope that all of those Qs actually play. The 'Morons need this more, but they've got their own Qs to deal with.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Coach Bev doubled her win total last week, but this matchup is a taller task. Even though the Phenoms have a bench full of byes they are still leading in the projections by around 30 points. Yikes.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Renegades
The Bolts wouldn't qualify for the playoffs if the postseason started today. They have a better record than the 'Morons but because the division leaders automatically advance, Coach Thad would be on the outside looking in. They can boost their chances with a win this week against a team that scored our lowest weekly total since before the rules change.
And the game of the week...
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Same division. Same record. This battle should be great, and nothing will be settled until MNF. It will all come down to whether the Chiefs score more through the air or on the ground. Or will their kicker decide the victor?
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 10 Preview
Can you believe it's already Rivalry Week in the 3FL?!? We should be in for an exciting last month of the season.
Week 9 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums - 129 points
Player MVPs:
Kareem Hunt (RB/KC/D) - 32 points
Matt Ryan (QB/Atl/M) - 29 points
Alvin Kamara (RB/NO/P) - 29 points
Predictions Tally
The Comm-nosticator: 33/54 - 61.11%
Yahoo! Projections: 29/54 - 53.70%
Week 10 Information
Thursday Night: Carolina Panthers @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Monday Night: New York Giants @ San Francisco 49ers
Bye Week: Broncos, Ravens, Titans, Vikings
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for Rivalry Week:
the HAW (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
After a promising start, the 'Morons have lost four straight games and are now only tied for the lead in the South. The CAPS are also currently tied for the lead in their division, and this game is also very evenly matched. It should be a good one all the way through MNF.
Dumbbums (-1) vs. Marauders
They have the same record but the point totals aren't even close. And that trend will continue this week, with the 'Bums continuing their mid-season roll and using some favorable matchups to run their winning streak to four.
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Bolts have actually hit the waiver wire and started active players for a couple of weeks in a row and have won their last two. Coincidence? Probably not. But SpiVi looks strong this week, and Marcus Mariota vs. the Lightning's own Defense shows their bye week troubles.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
It's hard to believe that both of these teams have sub-.500 records with only four games left in the regular season. The loser here is going to have a tough time getting into the playoffs, so replacing the bye week players is going to be important. But we all know that either of these QBs could take matters into their own hands.
Renegades (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
There isn't much riding on everyone's favorite twin billing this year, but the Stompers can still make some noise by earning a win. It would stop their second losing streak of the year (and double their win total). And it would also just about eliminate the Renegades from the postseason.
And the game of the week...
Predacons (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
What a matchup! Our two top teams (and two of the top three in scoring) face off in a high flying battle that features a player in every time slot from Thursday until Monday night. The outright number one seed is at stake. It should be an exciting way to end Rivalry Week.
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 9 Preview
Things seem to be getting even more interesting. Both the North and East divisions swept their games last week and somehow half of the league is now 4-4.
This week there are six NFL teams on a bye, so you should start figuring out which players will end up in your starting lineup.
Week 8 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Yuengling Brewers - 111 points

Deshawn Watson (QB/Hou/L) - 35 points

Sunday Night: Green Bay Packers @ New England Patriots
Monday Night: Tennessee Titans @ Dallas Cowboys
Bye Week: Bengals, Cardinals, Colts, Eagles, Giants, Jaguars
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 9:
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1) vs. Renegades
I'm sure these two look forward to this game every year. Having the entire battle under the same roof has to be fun, right? Their records may be the same but this week they won't be quite as even. PEP is looking strong even with OBJ on a bye.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
The defending champs have some tough matchups this week as they meet the 'Bolts to see which team can get over .500. It result will depend on their WR choices, the Q situations and if Coach Thad checks his lineup before Sunday afternoon.
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Marauders
I'm not sure who is running the Brew Crew this season, but things have been amazing for them starting all the way back at the draft. They're still the #1 and top scoring team in the league and things don't look like they'll slow down this week.
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Hey, look. It's another game pitting .500 teams against each other. This will be an even matchup and both teams will need big games from players with a II after their names. But the result might come down to which unheralded starter has a big week.
Predacons (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Their losing streak was finally stopped in week six, but the Stompers have since started (and continued) a new one. And it looks like it will be extended this week as the Preds come to town projected to almost hit the century mark. It could get ugly.
And the game of the week...
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
Prime time games will loom large here, with SpiVi saving a player on each MNF team for a comeback. It's another .500x.500 matchup but it just might be our most exciting one of the week.
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 8 Preview
It seems like the league decided to take a break after week six's assault on the record books. Last week was our lowest scoring one by far and five games saw upset winners.
Another four NFL teams are on a bye this week so things should be interesting. Also be aware that there is ANOTHER game in London this week. Again at 9:30am EST on Sunday.
Week 7 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 113 points
Player MVPs:
Patrick Mahomes II (QB/KC/MI) - 33 points
Kareem Hunt (RB/KC/D) - 31 points
Mitchell Trubisky (QB/Chi/D) - 28 points
Predictions Tally

Week 8 Information
Thursday Night: Miami Dolphins @ Houston Texans
Sunday Morning: Philadelphia Eagles @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday Night: New Orleans Saints @ Minnesota Vikings
Monday Night: New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills
Bye Week: Chargers, Cowboys, Falcons, Titans
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 8:
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Finally! Le'Veon Bell is getting ready to...oh, nevermind. I'm sure that news story is getting old for the Renegades to hear. SpiVi does look strong this week but this one will be closer than it looks.
Predacons (-1/2) vs. Marauders
The Preds have two losses so far this season and both came thanks to Kansas City prime time comebacks. Luckily the Chiefs don't have another night game until week 11. Also, the Marauders have an entire bench full of bye week players and Qs.
the HAW (-1) vs. Lightning
You guys, should we let the Bolts know that we're in the middle of the football season? That roster is kind of a mess, but at least Rishard Matthews finally signed with an NFL team!
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Speaking of roster issues, FitzCorp played last week with only six active players. That's just 66.6% of a full roster. But they still managed to win the game. They'll start an entire lineup this week against the Stompers, who have lost nine of their last ten. All of those Qs (and IRs) aren't helping.
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
This is going to be a good one. But there are so many injuries between these two teams that the biggest questions will be around which players actually take the field. Do the 'Bums have another MNF comeback ready?
And the game of the week...
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
The Brew Crew has won their last four in a row and last week they jumped up to the top spot in the league. But sustaining first place won't be easy, as PEP has some favorable matchups on the schedule in this one. And five Qs aren't good for the Brewers either.
Happy Halloween and good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 7 Preview
What a week! We're back to breaking a bunch of records after a slight pause. And the Stompers finally won, ending their losing streak at eight games. Are they ready to turn their season around now that we're officially at the halfway point?
Don't forget that there is an early Sunday morning (9:30am EDT) game in London this week. Make sure your players are set.
Week 6 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: the HAW - 149 points (new 3FL record!)

Sunday Morning: Tennessee Titans @ Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday Night: Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs
Monday Night: New York Giants @ Atlanta Falcons
Bye Week: Packers, Raiders, Seahawks, Steelers
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 7:
Spiked Vipers (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers won last week for the first time since the 2017 regular season. But it looks like they'll start a new losing streak this week, with Aaron Rodgers on a bye and all those injuries.
Renegades (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
This battle of the bottom three is the first step toward the playoffs for the winner. The loser will have an uphill climb with less than half of the season left. Mahomes gives FitzCorp the advantage, but they'll also have to replace all those bye week players.
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds just turned in their second MNF comeback in a row to stay atop the standings. But this week will be different, even with Big Ben on the 'Bums bench. You know, since Coach Sinkerbeam doesn't have any players in the Monday night game.
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Brew Crew scored 131 points again last week, tying themselves on the weekly scores superlatives list. They might match that total again. Can you believe that neither of these teams has a single player on a bye this week? Well, I guess Rishard Matthews kinda has a bye every week...
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Coach HAW's team scored more points last week than any team has ever scored in a single game in our history. By 11 points. They can't possibly do that again this week, right? And PEP is ready to strike after letting one get away with less than two minutes to go on MNF.
And the game of the week...
Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Marauders
These two teams enter this game with 4-2 records and point totals that differ by only one. This matchup will also be even, mostly because the 'Morons have WR issues and the Marauders have RB issues. Bye weeks and injuries will make things very interesting.
Good luck this week.
Don't forget that there is an early Sunday morning (9:30am EDT) game in London this week. Make sure your players are set.
Week 6 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: the HAW - 149 points (new 3FL record!)
Player MVPs:
Todd Gurley II (RB/LAR/tH) - 33 points
Tyreek Hill (WR/KC/tH) - 32 points
Melvin Gordon III (RB/LAC/YB) - 32 points
Predictions Tally
The Comm-nosticator: 21/36 - 58.33%
Yahoo! Projections: 22/36 - 61.11%
Week 7 Information
Thursday Night: Denver Broncos @ Arizona Cardinals

3FL Notes: S18: Week 6 Preview
No point total records were set last week, so that's something different for us this year. But the Stompers lost again and that makes eight weeks in a row. Now Coach Bev is tied (with three other teams) for the second longest losing streak of all time.
Week 5 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 116 points
Player MVPs:
James Conner (RB/Pit/PEP) - 30 points
Todd Gurley II (RB/LAR/tH) - 28 points
Tom Brady (QB/NE/PEP) - 26 points
Predictions Tally
The Comm-nosticator: 20/30 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 20/30 - 66.67%
Week 6 Information
Thursday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ New York Giants
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots
Monday Night: San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers
Bye Week: Detroit Lions, New Orleans Saints
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 6:
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Marauders
Both of these teams have four players projected to score double digits. That will be fun. Also, we'll have to watch the prime time games to see who comes out on top. FitzCorp's 3 late players give them the advantage for a comeback.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds staged a 30+ point MNF comeback to stay on top of the league, but their luck runs out this week with their two best players on a bye. The Phenoms are trending up and have players spread in every game time slot. It might not even be close.
Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Renegades
These two are on opposite sides of W-L records and the standings. The Renegades will make it somewhat interesting but the 'Morons will start tonight and win before dinner time on Sunday. (Bell is back in two weeks though)
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Things have not been going well for the Stompers this season. They are the only winless team left and have scored the lowest number of points in the league by a wide margin. But is this the week they finally turn things around? Or will they end up tied for the longest losing streak in our history?
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
SpiVi lost two in a row after a hot start, but they're looking strong this week. But the Brew Crew is projected to keep up. The over/under is at right about 200 points, so it should be a good one to watch.
And the game of the week...
the HAW (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Could this one be our first tie of the year? It's definitely possible. The only advantage goes to the CAPS since they have one less Q attached to their starting roster. It all comes down to Sunday night!
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 5 Preview
WOW! We just witnessed the highest scoring week in the history of the league. More than half of our teams scored 100+ points and the 'Bums posted another new second highest weekly team total of all time.
It's been quite a season already and we're only four weeks in.
Week 4 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums - 136 points (2nd all-time)
Player MVPs:
Alvin Kamara (RB/NO/P) - 35 points
Ezekiel Elliott (RB/Dal/M) - 29 points
Cooper Kupp (WR/LAR/B) - 28 points
Predictions Tally
The Comm-nosticator: 16/24 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 15/24 - 62.50%
Week 5 Information
Thursday Night: Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots
Sunday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Houston Texans
Monday Night: Washington Redskins @ New Orleans Saints
Bye Week: Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 5:
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Things are starting to get concerning for the Stompers and they could really use a win soon. In fact, it's been 7 losses in a row (starting with last year's playoffs) for Coach Bev. But the Brew Crew is legit this season.
the HAW (-1) vs. Renegades
The latest news says that Le'Veon Bell is going to show up for the Steelers' week 8 game. So that will be good for Coach Val in like a month. In the meantime it's going to be a tough go, especially when playing against the second best RB in the league.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Marauders
There are a lot of Qs and Os (and even an NA) on these two rosters. I'm not sure who it going to end up playing but the winner here will be the coach who figures that out.
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds were a MNF injury away from being 4-0, but now they face the other team who lost for the first time in week 4. The matchup is even but all of those Qs tip the scales in SpiVi's favor. However, everyone will need to stay up (again) on Monday night.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Last week's 136 points put the 'Bums on the all-time list and made them the league's top scoring team for the time being. Even though PEP has lost three in a row they're primed for a big week, and both teams could use a boost tonight. But will Brady only throw to the 'Bums starters?
And the game of the week...
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
Pat Mahomes II finalized FitzCorp's 40+ point comeback last week and doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. Couple that with Julian Edelman's return and this is going to be a close one. Perhaps the QB on the other side of the field will provide the MNF magic this week though.
Good luck this week.
It's been quite a season already and we're only four weeks in.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 4 Preview
In the first three weeks of the season our league has scored the third-most, fourth-most and second-most (in that order) weekly point totals of all time. Where will things go from here?
Remember that the byes are starting for real this week. They'll play a part in everyone's strategy until just about the end of the regular season!
Week 3 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Predacons - 120 points
Player MVPs:
Matt Ryan (QB/Atl/M) - 42 points
Drew Brees (QB/NO/P) - 37 points
Cam Newton (QB/Car/YB) - 30 points
Predictions Tally

Week 4 Information
Thursday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Rams
Sunday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Monday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos
Bye Week: Washington Redskins, Carolina Panthers
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 4:
Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
SpiVi is undefeated and atop the 3FL after our first three weeks. But the matchups aren't looking great for them this week, FitzMagic is running out, and Christian McCaffrey is on a bye. The door is open for the 'Morons.
the HAW (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Remember a few weeks ago when Duracell was giving out the Best Draft award to the Stompers? Yikes. Since then they are our only winless team and the only team to have scored fewer than 200 points. Aaron Rodgers will snap them out of it soon, but not this week.
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
There are a lot of red letters beside names in this matchup. And the Bolts had a guy just walk away from his team this week. A lot depends on the prime time games as the 'Bumbs will have to mount a comeback.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1) vs. Marauders
After a great first week PEP has underperformed in two straight games. They're projected to score in double digits again, though. And this one features a LOT of Steelers.
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Predacons
Fitzcorp is the top scoring team in our league but owns a losing record so far. That can change this week, as the Preds are due for a loss after a lucky start to the season. It will be amusing when these two both have bench QBs that outscore their starting QBs.
And the game of the week...
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Last week Coach Val saw her rookie RB get tossed out of his game before halftime and her franchise QB tear his ACL. And how long can she wait on the Le'Veon Bell situation? Meanwhile, the Brew Crew has had way more points scored against them than any other team. This one will be close with an opportunity for a MNF comeback.
Good luck this week.

Monday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Bye Week: None until week 4
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 3:
Lightning (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
It's tough when your team scores 110 points but loses the game, especially if you have the highest scoring player of the week sitting on the bench. That was FitzCorp last week. Mahomes will get the start against the Bolts but the final outcome may be the same.
Predacons (-1/2) vs. Renegades
The Preds under performed last week but still managed to squeak by the Bolts to take the top spot in the North. They'll have another close divisional matchup on their hands here, starting with opposing Ds tonight.
Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Coach Bev's squad is not off to a great start this year. They lost their first two games (and five in a row dating back to the beginning of last year's playoffs) and have scored the lowest point total in the league. All of this with Aaron Rodgers. They've got a shot to win this week but who knows?
the HAW (-1/2) vs. Marauders
These two teams have the same record but their point differential is 85 - after just two weeks! The Marauders will try to keep up and a lot of that will depend on Dalvin Cook's health.
Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
What is going on with the Brew Crew? First they were online for most of the draft, and now they have scored the second highest weekly total in our history. Look out, winless Dumbbums.
And the game of the week...
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
We've got some great games lined up for this week and this might be the best one of them all. Our current #1 team faces off against PEP in an even battle that will depend heavily on the prime time matchups. One third of their combined players are scheduled after dark.
Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S18: Week 2 Preview
Opening weekend had a little bit of everything (except for close games). Week two is looking like it will be even more entertaining!
Week 1 Recap
Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 130 points (2nd all-time)
Player MVPs:
Tyreek Hill (WR/KC/tH) - 34 points
Alvin Kamara (RB/NO/P) - 33 points

Week 2 Information
Thursday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday Night: New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys
Monday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears
Bye Week: None until week 4
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 2:
Marauders (1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
These two teams would have tied at 57 last week. That's not very many. Things will get better but having their two best players listed as questionable isn't good news for the Stompers.
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. the HAW
This one is going to be a good matchup by two familiar foes. SpiVi has a lot of doubt on their bench, but their starters are favored by a couple. The winner goes one up in the West Division.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
PEP scored the second highest weekly total of all time last week and they don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. This SuperBowl XVII rematch will be a good game but it will probably have the opposite outcome as the one from last December.
Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Both of these teams scored in the sixties last week but they'll put up more points here. The biggest question mark for each team is a Steeler - for the 'Bums it's Big Ben's elbow and for the 'Gades it's if Le'Veon Bell will ever, you know, show up.
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
These two are evenly matched up and down the roster and are actually projected to tie this week. That's not out of the question. FitzCorp gets things started tonight and then it will be all over before MNF even starts.
And the game of the week...
Predacons (-1/2) vs. Lightning
This one will determine the early leader in the North. Both teams looked pretty strong last week (even with a -3 from the Preds D). They match up well here but Fournette's injury tilts the advantage away from the Bolts.
Good luck this week.

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 1:
The first week is always the toughest to predict, but here goes...
Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
This matchup looks like a good one to start the season. These two are pretty even across the board and it will be fun to watch the 'Bums with a player in each available NFL time slot.
Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers sure do have a lot riding on tonight's game. And they also have Aaron Rodgers. But nobody around here is going to reap the benefits of Le'Veon Bell's holdout more than the newest PEPer James Connor. Oh and they have Tom Brady too.
Predacons (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
Coach Drew comes into this season ready to defend the title for the fourth time. The Preds (defending champions zero times) weren't given a great draft score or season prediction, but they're looking pretty good for this week.
Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Marauders
The RBs favor the Marauders, but pretty much every other position is an advantage for SpiVi. The LA Rams Defense should seal things up but maybe not until 1:30am EDT.
Lightning (-1) vs. Renegades
It seems like the Bolts can sleepwalk through our opening week. Not only because of their A- grade draft picks, but also because the Renegades have only one if their original three RBs actually available to play in a game.
And the game of the week...
the HAW (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
Could we see a tie in our opening week? These two will give us a chance. They match up perfectly and that means both coaches will have to stay up late on Monday night to see if Gurley and Cooks can complete the CAPS comeback.
Good luck in Week 1 and for the rest of Season 18!
It all starts tonight. Get your team ready to go!
Make sure you check your team's logo when you have a chance. Yahoo! has replaced the default logo helmet and the colors have changed as well. Or you could just use your custom logo...
Week 1 Information

Sunday Night: Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers
Monday Night Early: New York Jets @ Detroit Lions
Monday Night Late: Los Angeles Rams @ Oakland Raiders
Bye Week: None until week 4
And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 1:
The first week is always the toughest to predict, but here goes...

3FL Notes: 2018 Draft Analysis
For the first time in recent memory ALL 12 of our teams were represented during the online draft on Thursday
night. Here is an analysis of the results (in draft order):
1. the HAW: The consensus number one pick went to the CAPS for the second year in a row and then they disregarded ADP for the next ten rounds. Their team turned out ok but I've never heard of anyone on the bench. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: C-)
2. Spiked Vipers: Antonio Brown was a slight surprise as the second pick, but an early defense and kicker are pretty much expected from SpiVi at this point. The injured Eagles might pose a problem early on. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: B)
3. Misfits, Inc.: Yahoo post-draft calculations are projecting a last place finish and only three total wins this year for FitzCorp. I'm not so sure about that. But I do know that there aren't any E-A-G-L-E-S on the team to root for (yet). Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: C-)
4. Renegades: Speaking of projections, the bots at Yahoo! didn't like Coach Val's draft one bit. I don't know that I've ever seen a D grade on an automated analysis report card. She disagrees with that letter but will need to wait on Le'Veon to save the day. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: D+)
5. Marauders: Their starting RBs are formidable and their starting WRs aren't too shabby. If they can get some luck out of their QBs, this team is going to be sneaky good. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: C+)
6. Stiletto Stompers: Coach Bev reached way down to make Aaron Rodgers her first round pick and then selected a TE in the third. And she also won the Duracell® Best Draft. I'm not seeing it, but the highest paid player in the league could prove me wrong. Grade: B (Yahoo! Grade: A-)
7. Predacons: The Preds started out well but ended up with their usual middle-of-the-pack kind of team. They just better hope the Saints play well on both sides of the ball. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: C)
8. Baltimorons: For drafting on a mobile device in a car on the highway, the 'Morons did a respectable job. Saquon looks like the real deal but there will be excruciating coaching decisions to make every single week. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: C+)
9. Yuengling Brewers: The Brew Crew was live and online with us for many of the middle rounds of the draft this year. Well, someone was signed in to their account anyway. Either way, this team has a pretty solid starting roster as soon as everyone is healthy. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: B)
10. Phys. Ed. Phenoms: The draft was a good first step to get PEP back to the SuperBowl. They are strong at WR, they have Tom Brady, and Mark Ingram will bolster their backfield starting in week five. Grade: B (Yahoo! Grade: B)
11. Lightning: Ok, fine. This team looks pretty good. I shockingly agree with Yahoo! here and think the Bolts are poised for a great season. It's a very even squad. Grade: A- (Yahoo! Grade: A-)
12. Dumbbums: Coach Coaldog was reminded about the draft about 45 minutes before it began, but maybe that was a good thing. Big Ben and Gronk lead a true bunch of dumb bums. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: B)
The Comm-nosticator makes his first predictions soon. Stay tuned.
