3FL Notes: S23: Week 17 (SuperBowl) Preview

There was not a whole lot of drama last week in any of the games as we marched toward the SuperBowl. No MNF comebacks were needed and the average margin of victory in our two championship bracket games was 32 points. But I don't expect the same thing this week.

There are games on Thursday night, Saturday night and Sunday night this week, so we'll know our league champion before the ball drops to usher in 2024. Make sure your team is ready!

Week 16 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: the HAW - 115 points

Player MVPs:
George Pickens (WR/Pit/M) - 31 points
Breece Hall (RB/NYJ/tH) - 30 points
Jordan Love (QB/GB/PEP) - 23 points
Puka Nacua (WR/LAR/B) - 23 points

Playoff Predictions Tally

Yahoo! Projections: 6/8 - 75%

Week 16 Information
Thursday Night: New York Jets @ Cleveland Browns
Saturday Night: Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys
Sunday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings

It's SuperBowl week in the 3FL!

For 7th Place:
#3 Predacons vs. #5 Renegades
Having Amari Cooper's 40 points on the bench last week added insult to injury for the Preds, but they were already in the consolation bracket. And perhaps the decision made sense before the game started? Either way they'll battle Coach Val to not finish last in the playoffs. It could honestly go either way.

For 5th Place:
#1 Yuengling Brewers vs. #2 the HAW
Hmm. This was supposed to be the week 17 matchup to see who would take home the championship. Instead it's to see who ends up fifth. What a shame that it is probably our best game of the week. Look for a barnburner that starts tonight and lights up the scoreboard.

For 3rd Place:
#7 Spiked Vipers vs. #8 Phys. Ed. Phenoms
After each suffered a disappointing (but not nail-biting) loss in the semis, our bottom two seeds play each other for the bronze digital trophy. It's not the result either was hoping for, but it's a definite jump up from being the last two teams to clinch just a couple weeks ago. PEP's Kicker has been ruled our for tonight. Perhaps SpiVi can loan them one since he kept two Kickers on his playoff roster?

3FL SuperBowl XXIII
#4 Marauders vs. #6 Baltimorons
This is quite an intriguing game. The Marauders come into the championship having scored the most points in this year's playoffs and they posted the biggest blowout in each of the past two weeks. The Baltimorons pulled off an exciting comeback for a single digit win and then eased through the semifinals by playing the lowest scoring team of the week. But we all know that anything can happen in any given week. As of this writing, the 'Morons are the favorites by more than a TD.

These two played each other back week five and the Baltimorons earned a victory to secure the tiebreaker here. Both of these coaches have multiple SuperBowl wins, with Coach Hoss earning two and Coach Drew having his name on the trophy a record-tying four times.

Will SuperBowl scoring records be broken again? Can Coach Drew earn one for the thumb? Maybe it will end up with a SNF FLEX comeback to win it all?? It all comes down to week 17!

Good luck this week!

Happy New Year and thanks to everyone for another great season!!

3FL Notes: S23: Week 16 (Semifinals) Preview

A very dramatic week gave us two Monday night nailbiters and saw our top three seeds lose in the quarterfinals. Anything can happen in the 3FL playoffs!

All individual team pages (see links on the sidebar) and the 3FL Records have been updated and show statistics through the end of the 2023 regular season. This year's additions to the records page are in bold. Through 1,830 regular season games we have scored a combined 252,849 points,.

Don't forget, the four teams still in the championship bracket will have only one player add available this week. There are NINE scheduled game times this week, including matchups on Thursday, Saturday, Christmas Eve and three games on Christmas Day.

Week 15 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 122 points

Player MVPs:
Christian McCaffrey (RB/SF/M) - 36 points
James Cook (RB/Buf/PEP) - 33 points
Miami Dolphins Defense (B) - 22 points

Playoff Predictions Tally

Yahoo! Projections: 3/4 - 75%

Week 16 Information

Thursday Night: New Orleans Saints @ Los Angeles Rams
Saturday Late: Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Saturday Night: Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Chargers
Sunday Night: New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos
Christmas Early: Las Vegas Raiders @ Kansas City Chiefs
Christmas Late: New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles
Christmas Night: Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers

Semifinal Games
(Winners play in 3FL SuperBowl XXIII, losers play for 3rd Place)

#4 Marauders vs. #8 Phys. Ed. Phenoms
The Marauders put on a show last week, outscoring everyone and posting 25 more points than the closest other team. Can they (and the Dolphins) keep it up as the now highest remaining seed? Possibly, but they'll have to get through the Phenoms who just knocked off our #1 seed and ended a W9 streak. Nobody is scheduled to play tonight, but Christmas afternoon and evening are going to be exciting!

#6 Baltimorons vs. #7 Spiked Vipers
For the second time in the past three weeks the 'Morons used an incredible MNF comeback to keep their season alive. This time it was Jalen Hurts who brought them back from a 17 point deficit to win by one. The matchup here is even across the lineups. Could we see another tie? Or can SpiVi put up enough points to counter the tush push? There is a player in every single one of the NFL time slots, so strap in for this one.

Consolation Games
(Winners play for 5th Place, losers play for 7th)

#1 Yuengling Brewers vs. #5 Renegades
The curse is back. After ending the regular season with the best record and most points scored, the Brew Crew was poised for a championship repeat. But instead they got only two points each from Dak, Kelce and their Defense. They are projected to win this one, but the Renegades could have some surprises in store starting tonight.

#2 the HAW vs. #3 Predacons
Wouldn't it be more exciting if the second and third seeded teams were playing for a SuperBowl berth? Unfortunately the CAPS had the lowest score of the quarterfinals and were the only team to never reach triple digits all season. But perhaps they can surpass 100 here? The Preds were snakebit again, seeing a -1 from their FLEX player and losing by a mere point. That makes zero championships in 23 seasons. In case anyone is counting.

Merry Christmas and good luck this week! The SuperBowl awaits!!

Thursday, December 14, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 15 (Quarterfinals) Preview

One point. That's how close the Lightning came to holding on to a playoff spot. Near the end of his MNF game, Saquon Barkley lost a fumble for just the third time in 1,400+ career touches. That -2 put the Bolts down by a single point and elevated the Phenoms (who held off the 'Morons in prime time) into the postseason. Now it's time to start the journey to the SuperBowl!

There are six games outside the Sunday afternoon time slots this week, including three on Saturday. Make sure to have your players in position before their games start!

Remember that ROSTERS WILL LOCK AT 1pm THIS SUNDAY, December 17th. Under our playoff rules you will be allowed to make 1 add/drop per week once the postseason starts, but only teams still in the winners bracket will be eligible to make a move (with waivers set in reverse order of seeding).

Three wins in a row wins it all!!

Week 14 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Yuengling Brewers - 109 points

Player MVPs:
Lamar Jackson (QB/Bal/P) - 31 points
Deebo Samuel (WR/SF/YB) - 26 points
Matthew Stafford (QB/LAR/SV) - 23 points

Regular Season Final Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 55/84 - 65.48%
Yahoo! Projections: 53/84 - 63.10%

Week 15 Information

Thursday Night: Los Angeles Chargers @ Las Vegas Raiders
Saturday Early: Minnesota Vikings @ Cincinnati Bengals
Saturday Late: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Indianapolis Colts
Saturday Night: Denver Broncos @ Detroit Lions
Sunday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Monday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ Seattle Seahawks

The Comm-nosticator is finished for the year, but game previews are not...

All four East Division teams qualified for the playoffs this year. And, interestingly enough, all four of our quarterfinal matchups are divisional games. So this will be the third time this year that each of these teams will play one another.

#1 Yuengling Brewers vs. #8 Phys. Ed. Phenoms
The Brew Crew finished the regular season as the top seed and highest scoring team, and they ended up with the fourth highest season team points total of all time – for the second straight year (all of those things). They're also on a nine game winning streak. The Phenoms snuck into the playoffs last week, but we all know you can never rule out the curse.

#2 the HAW vs. #7 Spiked Vipers
This might be our best matchup of the quarterfinals. The CAPS have a better record but SpiVi has scored more points. They're 1-1 against each other in the regular season and they're evenly matched here. The Steelers-Colts game and Tyreek Hill's health will be big for the Vipers, but perhaps some MNF magic will push Coach HAW to the semis?

#3 Predacons vs. #6 Baltimorons
Just two weeks ago, these two teams played to our only tie of the year. That could happen again. The 'Morons have an edge in the projections, but will they need another Monday night comeback to pull things even? The Preds have the tiebreaker because of their week three head-to-head victory. You know, in case we need that information.

#4 Marauders vs. #5 Renegades
Another great matchup highlights our week 15 schedule. These two finished with even records and divisional records, but the Marauders scored more total points so they took the West Division crown. The Renegades did make more than 4x the number of add/drops though. Getting down to the game, it really could go either way. A healthy Raheem Mostert might tip the advantage to Coach Hoss.

Good luck in the playoffs! The trophy awaits!!

Thursday, December 07, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 14 Preview

We had our first tie in almost two years and four more teams secured a trip to the playoffs. For our last week of the regular season there are five teams with a shot at the remaining two postseason spots (and none of them play each other).

It should be a another great finale with two scheduled Monday night games to make things even more exciting!

Week 13 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Teams: Renegades/Yuengling Brewers - 110 points

Player MVPs:
DK Metcalf (WR/Sea/PEP) - 31 points
Deebo Samuel (WR/SF/YB) - 31 points
Tyreek Hill (WR/Mia/SV) - 27 points
Dak Prescott (QB/Dal/YB) - 27 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 52/78- 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 50/78 - 64.10%

Week 14 Information

Thursday Night: New England Patriots @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys
Monday Night: Tennessee Titans @ Miami Dolphins
Also Monday Night: Green Bay Packers @ New York Giants
Bye Week: Cardinals, Commanders

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 14:

Yuengling Brewers (-1) vs. Predacons
Our second SuperBowl XXII rematch of the season appropriately has our current #1 and #2 team going head-to-head. Is this a preview of a championship game repeat? It's looking like another easy win for our defending champs, which would put the Brew Crew on the records page with a W9 heading into the playoffs. And if they score 84 points or more they'll end up in the top five season point totals of all time.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
An amazing MNF comeback saw the 'Morons jump into a tie last week on the game winning kick as time expired, and they clinched a postseason spot with that result. PEP can still make it in, but a win and/or a bunch of points here would be a big help. The projections are not in their favor, but no matter what things won't be settled until Monday night.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
The 'Bums may be 10th in the league at the moment but they still have a shot at playing next week. They're in the same spot as the Phenoms (just with seven fewer points). So really, a win would be extremely helpful. The Marauders have other ideas, though, and they still have a shot at the West Division crown. Players in every NFL time slot will extend the fun all week.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
So FitzCorp isn't going to get to the playoffs based on points (134 is a lot to make up in one game). But if they win here and the Vipers, Phenoms and Dumbbums lose, they're in. It's not impossible. The toughest part for Coach Tim-A might be rooting for the Dallas Defense against his E-A-G-L-E-S.

And the games of the week...

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Despite starting two players on a bye, the Stompers halted their losing streak at seven last week. Perhaps they can continue that momentum and ruin SpiVi's chance at a playoff berth? The Vipers are in the 8th spot now but are less than 25 points ahead of each of the next two teams in the standings (and with identical records). There are many scenarios for them, but the best ones start with a win here.

Lightning (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Win and they're in. That's all the Bolts have to do from the 7th spot. Of course that's easier typed than done when the game is against the team that has already clinched the division and is headed to their 14th postseason in a row. And because of season point totals, a loss against the CAPS might allow the Lightning to be leapfrogged by two (or three) teams and pushed out of the playoffs completely. This is going to be a good one!

Good luck this week!

Thursday, November 30, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 13 Preview

We just had our highest scoring week of the year and saw our first two playoff spots finally claimed, but there are still six up for grabs. Things are still very much in flux with only two weeks to go in the regular season. And this week of divisional matchups also includes six NFL teams on a bye. It's going to be interesting!

Also last week we crossed over the quarter million points milestone. After 1,818 games in 303 weeks, the 3FL has scored a combined total of 250,790 regular season points. WOW!!

Week 12 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Yuengling Brewers - 124 points

Player MVPs:
Kyren Williams (RB/LAR/R) - 32 points
Christian McCaffrey (RB/SF/M) - 25 points
Bijan Robinson (RB/Atl/P) - 24 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 49/72 - 68.06%
Yahoo! Projections: 48/72 - 66.67%

The Comm-nosticator was 6/6 in week 12 predictions

Week 13 Information

Thursday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ Green Bay Packers
Monday Night: Cincinnati Bengals @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Bye Week: Bears, Bills, Giants, Raiders, Ravens, Vikings

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 13:

Dumbums (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Both of these teams are fighting to play in week 15 and the loser of this game is most likely going to be eliminated from contention. If the Corporation picks up some bye week fill-ins it could be close, but all those Qs on the 'Bums' side of the field don't instill confidence either way. Perhaps we'll have to wait until MNF.

Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
With a combined six bye week starters to replace (and many of those players not yet on either roster), I have no idea what's going to happen here. Let's go with the Stompers, who need a W to stop their 7 game losing streak and avoid adding their name to the records page.

Baltimorons (-1) vs. Predacons
It's a good thing the Preds clinched a playoff spot last week. They're currently a 15+ point underdog to the 'Morons and starting Gardner Minshew at QB isn't going to help them avoid their first loss within the division all year. This one will be over long before the prime time players take the field.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
PEP could really use a win here to stay in the thick of the postseason race. To do that they'll just need to beat the defending champs, who also happen to have the best record and highest point total and are riding a seven game winning streak. No problem, right? Actually it will be closer than you think. Upset special?

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Renegades
It seems like the Marauders fate is usually dependent on the Dolphins. I guess that's what happens when four of your starters play for one team. The top spot in the West is on the line here, as both these teams have matching records and matching divisional records. It's going to be a good one.

And the game of the week...

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Clinging to the last playoff spot with two weeks to go in the regular season is not ideal, but SpiVi is in good shape with points and projections. A win here will likely keep them in the top eight and having some key CAPS on a bye will help. But it may still come down to Monday night.

Good luck this week!

Thursday, November 23, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 12 Preview

It was another interesting week and most of the North Division got back on the winning track, but this time the West was 0-4. No postseason spots have been claimed and there are only three weeks to go!

All teams have now played each other one time and we're back to divisional battles to wrap up the regular season and figure out our playoff seedings. There are three Thanksgiving Day games and one Friday afternoon game this week. Make sure your team is ready!

Week 11 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Phys. Ed. Phenoms - 100 points

Player MVPs:
Saquon Barkley (RB/NYG/L) - 25 points
Justin Herbert (QB/LAC/SS) - 24 points
Josh Allen (QB/Buf/tH) - 22 points
Lamar Jackson (QB/Bal/P) - 22 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 43/66 - 65.15%
Yahoo! Projections: 43/66 - 65.15%

Week 12 Information

Thanksgiving Early: Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions
Thanksgiving Late: Washington Commanders @ Dallas Cowboys
Thanksgiving Night: San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks
Sunday Night: Baltimore Ravens @ Los Angeles Chargers
Monday Night: Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
Bye Week: None

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 12:

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
Despite being fifth in the league in scoring, SpiVi is tenth in the standings. This game might come down to the health of D'Andre Swift. And if Josh Dobbs can engineer another comeback - this time for the Vipers on Monday night.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
It has not been a fun month for the Stompers. They're last in the league, have the lowest point total and have lost six in a row. And still they're only two games out of a postseason spot with three weeks to go. They'll have to hope Justin Jefferson is back in order to have a chance against the Thursday heavy CAPS. But you're saying there's a chance?

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
If the season ended right now, all the East Division teams would be in the playoffs. It's almost a shame they have to play against each other in these last few weeks. This game will be closer than it appears because it is unlikely the Preds will pick the correct Flex player or Defense.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Only one game separates these two divisional foes (and 159 points). But that doesn't matter this week as it could really go either way (as long as the Corporation has a chance to optimize their lineup before the games start). Here's something I never thought I would type: The Marauders need big games from their Dolphins on Friday at 3pm.

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
The 'Bums can enjoy Thanksgiving without worrying about their lineup; they don't have any active players until Sunday. Coach Val will have bookends to the game, with two on Thursday and her QB on MNF. And if Kyren Williams returns (as is expected) this week it should tip the scales in her favor.

And the game of the week...

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
Wow, this is going to be a good one. The Brew Crew is holding on to the top spot and they've won their last six in a row. But the 'Morons have the highest projected total for the week and are definitely in position to break that streak. It will be even more entertaining since there is a player in every single one of the eight NFL time slots.

Happy Thanksgiving and good luck this week!

3FL Notes: S23: Week 11 Preview

An interesting Rivalry Week shuffled the standings a bit and saw the North Division's teams all lose again. They're now sitting at a combined L-14.

There are only four games left in the regular season and no playoff spots are clinched and no team is mathematically eliminated either. It should be a fun sprint to the postseason!

Week 10 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Yuengling Brewers - 128 points

Player MVPs:
Dak Prescott (QB/Dal/YB) - 37 points
Keenan Allen (WR/LAC/M) - 29 points
Justin Herbert (QB/LAC/SS) - 29 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 40/60 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 39/60 - 65%

Week 11 Information

Thursday Night: Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens
Sunday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Denver Broncos
Monday Night: Philadelphia Eagles @ Kansas City Chiefs
Bye Week: Colts, Falcons, Patriots, Saints

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 11:

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Last week was a better showing, but the Stompers have now lost five in a row and remain in last place in the standings. They still have a shot at the postseason but they'll need a win here to make things more realistic. The Preds are hoping Lamar Jackson can start things off tonight with a push for a W-3.

Marauders (-1) vs. Spiked Vipers
It's been a tough month for SpiVi as they've lost their last four and have fallen down to 11th place. It doesn't get easier this week against Coach Hoss. The Marauders will finish up just after dinner on Sunday and the Vipers will still have four players to go in an agonizing attempt at a comeback.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Bolts have lost their last three in a row but are somehow still atop the North Division (by a single point). This one will be closer than it appears at the moment (after some expected lineup swaps), but we'll all have to wait until prime time to see how it turns out.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Outscoring the league and putting up the biggest blowout of the week allowed the Brew Crew to remain alone in our top spot. They're the only team that can clinch a playoff spot this early and it might not even come down to the head-to-head matchup on MNF.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Only two total points separate these two teams after ten weeks of games. This matchup should be just as tight, especially since they have six players projected to score the same exact amount as their counterparts in the same starting positions. Weird.

And the game of the week...

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
FitzCorp has caught fire lately, winning their last three and jumping into playoff position. PEP is moving in the other direction. They can't seem to catch a break since November started. This will be a great game and things look even across the lineup. Pay attention to the TEs and Football Night in America.

Good luck this week.

Thursday, November 09, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 10 Preview

The lower seeds won five of our six games last week and half of the league is now 5-4 on the season. And we have a fourth different #1 team in the past four weeks. Whose turn at the top is next?

Rivalry Week will have some great matchups but won't allow anyone to lock in a playoff spot yet. And don't forget about another NFL game in Germany on Sunday morning. Warum machen sie das weiterhin?

Week 9 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums - 112 points

Player MVPs:
C.J. Stroud (QB/Hou/D) - 42 points
Dak Prescott (QB/Dal/YB) - 26 points
Jalen Hurts (QB/Phi/B) - 25 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 35/54 - 64.81%
Yahoo! Projections: 35/54 - 64.81%

Week 10 Information

Thursday Night: Carolina Panthers @ Chicago Bears
Sunday Morning: Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots
Sunday Night: New York Jets @ Las Vegas Raiders
Monday Night: Denver Broncos @ Buffalo Bills
Bye Week: Chiefs, Dolphins, Eagles, Rams

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for Rivalry Week:

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
If I would have told you that these two teams would be facing off in week 10 as the #10 vs #11 matchup you wouldn't have believed me. But here we are. Bye weeks won't be a factor, but SpiVi will need to choose the right QB starter to even have a chance. Even then, the projections are not looking favorable.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Lightning
After four long weeks the Preds finally picked up another win, putting them right back in the thick of things. And they get to face the Bolts with some of their key players on a bye. It might not even come down to the dueling WRs on MNF.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. the HAW
This classic rivalry is renewed with a lot on the line. The Brew Crew took over the top seed with their fourth straight win last week and they're our lone team with six wins. The CAPS are leading the North Division but come into this game as a big underdog. Even with Travis Kelce on a bye.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
This one looks very even across the lineups, especially when the 'Morons decide to pick up a kicker. Wow, there are a lot of red injury designations between these two. Things start tonight for the 'Bums but it's looking like it will wrap up in the early evening on Sunday.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Marauders
It was a short stint at the top for Coach Hoss, but the Marauders remain in good shape as they still lead the West and are second in league scoring. The problem here is that all those high-flying Dolphins are on a bye. Can PEP pick the correct WRs to take advantage?

And the Rivalry Week game of the week...

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Our favorite and most obvious annual rivalry game should be a good one. The Stompers scored the lowest weekly total of the year last week, but they're set to rebound here. Meanwhile the Renegades held on against a furious MNF comeback for a two point win and a leapfrog in the standings. But they'll have to hope for their own prime time comeback this time around.

Good luck this week.

Thursday, November 02, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 9 Preview

We have a new top team after a high-flying week. Every team now has at least three wins and three losses, and the difference between #1 and #12 is only two games with six to go.

We're back to NFL team byes and there is another Sunday morning game (in Deutschland) this week. It should be interesting!

Week 8 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Baltimorons - 134 points

Player MVPs:
Dak Prescott (QB/Dal/YB) - 29 points
CeeDee Lamb (WR/Dal/MI) - 28 points
Jalen Hurts (QB/Phi/B) - 28 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 32/48 - 66.67%
Yahoo! Projections: 31/48 - 64.58%

Week 9 Information

Thursday Night: Tennessee Titans @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday Morning: Miami Dolphins @ Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday Night: Buffalo Bills @ Cincinnati Bengals
Monday Night: Los Angeles Chargers @ New York Jets
Bye Week: 49ers, Broncos, Jaguars, Lions

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 9:

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
That was quite a comeback by FitzCorp. They were down 15 points going into MNF but ended up winning by 9, mostly thanks to Jahmyr Gibbs. But he's on a bye this week and the Bolts are the team with three players in prime time.

Dumbbums (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers were on the wrong end of the biggest blowout last week, and that just might happen again in this one. Their bench will be of no help at all – between byes and injuries those players are projected to score zero total points. The 'Bums won't put up crazy numbers but it should be enough for a W.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
What a slide the Preds are on. After winning their first four games and sitting alone atop the league, they have just dropped their last four in a row and hold our current longest losing streak. That might be extended this week against SpiVi, but they're on their own two game skid. At least one of them will pick up a win.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. the HAW
Their record may be .500, but the 'Morons are tied for second in the league in scoring and are projected to have the highest score in the league this week. That spells trouble for the CAPS, who have two important WRs on a bye and some tough matchups on the schedule.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
This is going to be a good one. The Marauders just jumped up into the top spot last week and the Brew Crew is sitting in second. This game will be all you'd expect from a 1 vs. 2 matchup. We'll know where things are headed after the Sunday morning game in Germany, with four Dolphins leading the charge for Coach Hoss.

And the game of the week...

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Renegades
It's always fun to watch this matchup, and this year might be the best one in a while. These two teams have the same record, are #7 and #8 in the standings and are within 20 total points of each other for the year. And PEP has won their last four in a row. Can Coach Val end that streak? Or will Joe Burrow throw to someone other than Ja'Marr Chase on SNF and secure the victory and house bragging rights?

Good luck this week.

Thursday, October 26, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 8 Preview

We're now halfway through our regular season and there is a new team atop the standings. And only a single game separates the #2 team and the #11 team.

Thankfully we get break from the byes this week. All NFL teams are scheduled to play.

Week 7 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums - 120 points

Player MVPs:
Lamar Jackson (QB/Bal/P) - 32 points
Patrick Mahomes (QB/KC/L) - 32 points
D'Onta Foreman (RB/Chi/D) - 29 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 27/42 - 64.29%
Yahoo! Projections: 26/42 - 61.90%

Week 8 Information

Thursday Night: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills
Sunday Night: Chicago Bears @ Los Angeles Chargers
Monday Night: Las Vegas Raiders @ Detroit Lions
Bye Week: None

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 8:

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Two-thirds of the Beermen's starters are projected to score double digits. It should end up closer than the estimations, but Coach Val will need a big game out of each of her MNF players to have a chance at an upset.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
For the first four weeks of the season the Preds couldn't lose. Now it seems like they can't win. Last week they lost their third in a row, despite being 25 point favorites. There is another big odds line here but maybe they can at least eek out a victory?

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
These two have the same record and only eight points separates their season point totals. The 'Morons have a slight edge at RB which might be the difference. But are the Stompers really starting the TB Defense against the Bills tonight?

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
It's easy to win when your team scores 40 points above your projected total. And it probably won't take that many to beat the CAPS, who have had two unlucky games in a row. They should win this one, though, as long as D'Onta Foreman has an appropriate total on Sunday night.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
After losing their first four games of the season, PEP have won their last three and hold the same record as the Vipers. A bunch of Qs on both teams will probably hold the key to victory here, but let's also watch what happens with each of their underperforming QBs.

And the game of the week...

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Bolts took over the top spot in the league and stand alone with a 5-2 record. It's going to be tough to stay there as they face off against the high flying Marauders. This 1 vs. 2 matchup starts tonight but won't be decided until Sunday Night Football wraps up. It really could go either way.

Happy Halloween and good luck this week!

3FL Notes: S23: Week 7 Preview

An upside down week saw our top three teams lose and our bottom two win. Now everyone has at least two victories and two defeats after our first six weeks. How much will things get shaken up this week with six NFL teams on a bye?

Week 6 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Yuengling Brewers - 116 points

Player MVPs:
Raheem Mostert (RB/Mia/M) - 30 points
Tua Tagovailoa (QB/Mia/M) - 23 points
Tyreek Hill (WR/Mia/SV) - 22 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 23/36 - 63.89%
Yahoo! Projections: 22/36 - 61.11%

Week 7 Information

Thursday Night: Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints
Sunday Night: Miami Dolphins @ Philadelphia Eagles
Monday Night: San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings
Bye Week: Bengals, Cowboys, Jets, Panthers, Texans, Titans

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Don't look now but the Renegades are atop the West Division and have won their last three in a row. It won't be easy to extend that streak against the Bolts now that Saquon Barkley is back, though, especially with Ja'Marr Chase on his bye.

Predacons (-1) vs. Dumbbums
After starting the season with four straight wins, the Preds have now dropped their last two (and they were on the wrong end of the biggest blowout last week). They should be able to get things back on track after this one since the entire 'Bumbs bench is packed with bye week players.

Marauders (-1) vs. Stiletto Stompers
It's easier to win a game when you have the top two scoring players of the week on your team. Coach Hoss did just that last week, getting 53 points from Tua and Mostert alone. Those two are always a threat to pile up the points, and if Christian McCaffrey is healthy...look out.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
These two teams are just about even. They have identical records and are close in the standings and in point totals. The projections give the Brew Crew the edge, but I think it will be closer than predicted. And it will definitely come down to Monday night.

Baltimorons (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Despite having their starting QB on the IR and their starting RB ruled out early, FitzCorp rallied to somehow pick up a win against our second place team last week. They were 24 point underdogs and won by 8. I didn't believe the MNF comeback then. And I don't believe they can repeat that feat (even though they have a full, healthy lineup this week).

And the game of the week...

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
After a tough start to the year, the Phenoms come into this one hot after winning their last two. Byes will play a part and the matchups are predicting low totals, but perhaps the CAPS can be on the winning end of a primetime comeback this week? Either way it's going to be close.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S23: Week 6 Preview

The Preds lost, the Phenoms won, and we saw a triple digit margin of victory in week 5. What's next?

Week 5 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Stiletto Stompers - 135 points

Player MVPs:
DJ Moore (WR/Chi/SS) - 41 points
Ja'Marr Chase (WR/Cin/R) - 37 points
Travis Etienne, Jr. (RB/Jax/SS) - 31 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 19/30 - 63.33%
Yahoo! Projections: 19/30 - 63.33%

Week 6 Information

Thurdsay Night: Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday Morning: Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans
Sunday Night: New York Giants @ Buffalo Bills
Monday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ Los Angeles Chargers
Bye Week: Packers, Steelers

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 6:

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Renegades
Both of these teams are riding two game winning streaks and they come into this matchup with even projections across the board. Austin Ekeler should be back in the lineup for the 'Morons and that gives them the slightest of edges. Stay tuned for a thrilling Monday night!

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Predacons
The Preds lost for the first time last week, and it didn't help that they picked the wrong starting QB. Again. Now they face the Marauders, who are actually our top scoring team in the league despite their 2-3 record. This is going to be a great matchup with players in every NFL time slot.

Phys. Ed. Phenoms (-1/2) vs. Lightning
PEP was down by 8 points going into MNF last week but Christian Watson scored just enough points to give the Phenoms their first win by the slimmest of margins. They can double their win total this week against the formidable Bolts, but it might take another Monday night comeback to do it.

the HAW (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
It's probably best if FitzCorp just deletes the film from last week's loss and moves on. They only scored 35 points, their lowest game total in a decade (exactly a decade, actually – week 5 of the 2013 season). I'd say it can't be that bad again, but as of this writing they don't even have a healthy starting quarterback on the roster. But Cooper Kupp is back. So there's that.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
The Stompers outscored the league and had the biggest blowout that anyone can remember in league history. They won't win this one by 101 points, though. Their top pick has landed on IR and the Brew Crew has some favorable matchups on the schedule.

And the game of the week...

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
Sam Howell and C.J. Stroud face off in this battle of the backup QBs. It's setting up to be a tight matchup with the Sunday morning game (my goodness, they're playing in England again) telling the story. It's a shame De'Von Achane is hurt or this one would be even closer.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S23: Week 5 Preview

Only the Predacons remain undefeated and the Phenoms are still searching for their first win. The byes start this week - make sure your team is ready.

And don't forget about another 9:30am game on Sunday from Old England!

Week 4 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Dumbbums - 118 points

Player MVPs:
Christian McCaffrey (RB/SF/M) - 41 points
Josh Allen (QB/Buf/tH) - 37 points
Stefon Diggs (WR/Buf/P) - 30 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 17/24 - 70.83%
Yahoo! Projections: 17/24 - 70.83%

Week 5 Information

Thursday Night: Chicago Bears @ Washington Commanders
Sunday Morning: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Buffalo Bills
Sunday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers
Monday Night: Green Bay Packers @ Las Vegas Raiders
Bye Week: Browns, Buccaneers, Chargers, Seahawks

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 5:

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Renegades
It appears that SpiVi will make a change at QB this week. That could end up being the difference in this matchup, especially if the Renegades swap out their bye week players. Both teams will have to stay up for MNF.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. the HAW
In just looking at their roster it's hard to believe the Preds are our only remaining undefeated team. But they are also our second highest scorers (and have the second lowest points against), so perhaps that's it. This should be an entertaining game, with way too many starters on Sunday at 9:30 in the morning.

Stiletto Stompers (-1) vs. Misfits, Inc.
FitzCorp isn't going to go with Daniel Jones again this week, are they? Actually it might not matter. The projections are leaning so far toward the Stompers that not even a Cooper Kupp return would make much of a difference.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
Coach Drew won for the first time in his last 10 games and could really use another victory here. All those injuries on his bench aren't going to help, though, especially if the Dolphins have a decent game against the lowly NY Giants.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
Things have not been going great for PEP so far this season. They're still winless after week four and are only one point better than the lowest scoring team in the league. That could change if Joe Burrow rediscovers his passing touch. But the byes and the projections are not being kind.

And the game of the week...

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
This one could go either way. Things look basically even and if Saquon Barkley is healthy it could tip the advantage to the Bolts. But don't count out some Sunday night heroics by the Brew Crew to secure a comeback victory.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S23: Week 4 Preview

Week three was the opposite of week two. Instead of close matchups, just about every game was a blowout. The average margin of victory was more than 38 points! What's next as we finish up the last round of our first set of divisional matchups?

Don't forget about the Sunday morning game at 9:30am EDT.

Week 3 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Marauders - 124 points

Player MVPs:
Raheem Mostert (RB/Mia/M) - 38 points
Davante Adams (WR/LV/SV) - 29 points
Keenan Allen (WR/LAC/M) - 27 points
Justin Herbert (QB/LAC/SS) - 27 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 14/18 - 77.78%
Yahoo! Projections: 14/18 - 77.78%

Week 4 Information
Thursday Night: Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
Sunday Morning: Atlanta Falcons @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday Night: Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Jets
Monday Night: Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants
Bye Week: None until next week

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 4:

Renegades (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
It's very early, but both of these teams could use a win to stay on the edge of the playoff picture. Each can get things started tonight but we'll have to wait until Monday night to find out which of these two will claw back to .500.

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
This looks to be a high scoring affair. Both teams have breakout WRs and are even in the backfield, so it will come down to the thinnest of margins. Perhaps just a FG on Sunday night.

Marauders (-1) vs. Dumbbums
All you need to know is that our top scoring team is playing against our lowest scoring team this week. The Marauders have averaged 43 more points per game than the 'Bums this year. Yikes.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Predacons
This is a rematch of SuperBowl XXII, and we all know what happened in that game. The Brew Crew is in good shape to repeat the victory even though the Preds are undefeated and things are even across positions (except for TE). Lots of primetime games should at least make it exciting.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Lightning
The Bolts may be 3-0 but their projections this week are tied for the lowest in the league. In fact, both of these teams have only their QB expected to score in double digits. That quarterback battle will be great, but keep an eye on Saquon Barkley. He may be healthy enough to play this week but banking on him in a MNF game will be risky.

And the game of the week...

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
With last week's loss Coach Drew is now tied for the longest losing streak in 3FL history. Another loss this week would put him all alone atop the list as the first to L10. At least he gets to face our last place team. Although maybe PEP will turn things around now that the fantasy baseball season is over (with Coach GregW securing the FMLB trophy). At least we know one of these teams will pick up their first victory.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S23: Week 3 Preview

An amazingly competitive week featured some back and forth battles and a much higher league scoring total, and the average margin of victory was only 6 points. More divisional games are on the schedule for week three!

Week 2 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Yuengling Brewers - 117 points

Player MVPs:
Daniel Jones (QB/NYG/MI) - 27 points
Brian Robinson (RB/Was/YB) - 26 points
Pittsburgh Steelers Defense (PEP) - 26 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 9/12 - 75%
Yahoo! Projections: 9/12 - 75%

Week 3 Information

Thursday Night: New York Giants @ San Francisco 49ers
Sunday Night: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Las Vegas Raiders
Monday Evening: Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Monday Night: Los Angeles Rams @ Cincinnati Bengals
Bye Week: None until week 5

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 3:

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Baltimorons
The 'Morons are the top scoring team in the league after our first two weeks. They're also 0-2 and have lost their last 8 straight games (and 10 of their last 11). A loss against the Preds this week will tie the all time losing streak record. And all those Qs and IRs aren't going to help.

Yuengling Brewers (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
Our defending champs outscored the league last week and are projected to have the highest score again this week. Meanwhile, PEP is hoping that their prime time comeback is enough to earn them a win this time around.

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Renegades
With a player in every NFL time slot, this one will take an extended time to decide the winner. Both teams have a chance for a big start tonight but the matchups seem to give the edge to the Marauders.

Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
Losing Saquon Barkley is going to make it tough for the Bolts to stay undefeated this week. They only have one player projected to score in the double digits. But that player is Patrick Mahomes, so you never know.

Dumbbums (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
The 'Bums have put up fewer points this whole season than a couple of our teams did just last week. But they have a shot at grabbing their first win against FitzCorp, who appear to be starting Daniel Jones in tonight's game because of a concussed first string QB.

And the game of the week...

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. the HAW
This important 3FL North battle is going to come down to the wire on MNF. The CAPS are undefeated but SpiVi has scored more points so far. Coach HAW has to hope that his team can keep it close through the early games, and his fingers have to be crossed that Breece Hall can actually play on Sunday since there are no backup RBs on the roster.

Good luck this week.

Thursday, September 14, 2023

3FL Notes: S23: Week 2 Preview

We kicked off our 23rd year with our lowest scoring week since 2019. The North Division won all their games while prime time comebacks and season ending injuries were the rest of the story.

The first set of intradivisional games starts this week and there are also two Monday night games. Make sure your team is ready!

Week 1 Recap

Top Scoring 3FL Team: Spiked Vipers/the HAW - 94 points

Player MVPs:
Tyreek Hill (WR/Mia/SV) - 33 points
Brandon Aiyuk (WR/SF/tH) - 24 points
Aaron Jones (RB/GB/B) - 24 points

Predictions Tally

The Comm-nosticator: 5/6 - 83.33%
Yahoo! Projections: 4/6 - 66.67%

Week 2 Information

Thursday Night: Minnesota Vikings @ Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday Night: Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots
Monday Evening: New Orleans Saints @ Carolina Panthers
Monday Night: Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Bye Week: None until week 5

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 2:

Renegades (-1) vs. Dumbbums
The 'Bums scored only 39 points last week, their lowest total since 2019. Some of that was Aaron Rodgers lasting only 4 plays but there were also two other zeros in the starting lineup. Things won't be that bad in W2, but the Renegades should pick up their first win easily.

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms
This one is really even across the board. It will be fun to watch two AFC North QBs in their head-to-head matchup, but the game will come down to a comeback attempt by the Steelers' D on MNF.

Baltimorons (-1) vs. Yuengling Brewers
The Brew Crew kicked off their title defense with a loss last week, and they really need Kelce back to prevent starting 0-2. Meanwhile the 'Morons are on a 7 game losing streak and another one here would put them on the Records page. Hurts won't let that happen.

Spiked Vipers (-1/2) vs. Lightning
It's really a coin flip here. SpiVi sits atop the league after their victory last week but the Bolts are also 1-0 (even they had the lowest score of all the winning teams last week). Still, a good showing by Mahomes could make the Vipers nervous for their prime time comeback bid.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Stiletto Stompers
Coach HAW led his team to victory last week and tied for the highest score. And that was all while their starting QB was terrible. If Josh Allen returns to form this might be a tough one for the Stompers to win, but they'll definitely need a good showing tonight for a shot at win number two.

And the game of the week...

Marauders (-1/2) vs. Misfits, Inc.
Their records might not show it, but these teams were only two points apart last week. Now the'll battle for what will likely be the early division lead. The winner won't be decided until we watch a combined six players (five of them Marauders) in the night games.

Good luck this week.

3FL Notes: S23: Week 1 Preview

Can the Brewers defend the title? Or will we (finally) have another new name on the trophy? And will we break any records this year?? The 23rd 3FL season will have these answers.

It all starts tonight. Get your team ready to go!

Week 1 Information

Thursday Night: Detroit Lions @ Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday Night: Dallas Cowboys @ NY Giants
Monday Night: Buffalo Bills @ NY Jets
Bye Week: None until week 5

And now the Comm-nosticator’s predictions for week 1:
The first week is always the toughest to predict, but here goes...

Lightning (-1/2) vs. Dumbbums
We all know that Patrick Mahomes can make or break a fantasy week, or even a whole fantasy season. He'll start things off for Coach Thad tonight. But the most interesting matchup will be the direct QB/Defense face off on MNF (plus two more Bills for the Bolts).

Misfits, Inc. (-1/2) vs. Yuengling Brewers
Our returning champs are facing their first setback already – it looks like Travis Kelce will be ruled out for tonight's season opener. The rest of the Brew Crew may be able to pick up the slack but we won't find out until late this week, as these teams have a combined six players starting in prime time games.

Stiletto Stompers (-1/2) vs. Phys. Ed. Phenoms.
Will PEP's failing draft grade derail their early chances? Maybe. But I'd put things more on the competition here. The Stompers are looking tough this week and will hope to preserve a win as it comes down to opposing RBs on Monday night.

the HAW (-1/2) vs. Marauders
An A+ rating and best draft award doesn't always translate into an obvious playoff spot by the end of the regular season. But it looks like it will be quite enough to get the CAPS to begin the year with a victory.

Baltimorons (-1/2) vs. Spiked Vipers
It looks like the 'Morons are betting on the future with their IR spot full and a suspended RB on the roster. This one will be close but the current club from Baltimore (without a single Raven) has the slightest advantage.

And the game of the week...

Predacons (-1/2) vs. Renegades
The Preds can get their season off to a good start with a positive showing in tonight's game. Then both teams will have to wait around to see if Coach Val's team can pull off a comeback that will start on Sunday afternoon.

Good luck in Week 1 and for the rest of Season 23!

3FL Notes: 2023 Draft Analysis

Eleven of our twelve teams were represented during the online draft on Thursday night. Here is an analysis of the results (in draft order):

1. Marauders: Perhaps his recent move to the sunshine state is the reason Coach Hoss drafted six players from Florida teams. Yahoo sure didn't like that, though. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: D)

2. Baltimorons: There wasn't any love for the 'Morons' picks either. I'll admit that Diontae Johnson was probably a reach, but Jalen Hurts and Austin Ekeler make this team better than a D. Grade: C+ (Yahoo! Grade: D)

3. Stiletto Stompers: The Stompers put together a solid team and their top four picks really stand out. They just have to hope everyone stays healthy because their bench is pretty thin. Grade: B- (Yahoo! Grade: C+)

4. Renegades: As long as Justin Fields can at least meet expectations, this team looks like it could be going places. Does Coach Val know something about Jahan Dotson the rest of us don't? Grade: C+ (Yahoo! Grade: B)

5. Yuengling Brewers: Our returning champs stacked things up for their title defense. It's a well balanced squad with some sleepers who could make it even better. Grade: A- (Yahoo! Grade: A)

6. the HAW: The CAPS won the Best Draft award, but I'm not ready to crown this team quite yet. They do have a top tier players but the RBs might be a weak link. Grade: B+ (Yahoo! Grade: A+)

7. Misfits, Inc: The autodraft bot picked three WRs in a row to start the draft, so that was a little strange. But even stranger is that there are no Eagles on this team. Only division rivals. Grade: C- (Yahoo! Grade: D)

8. Phys. Ed. Phenoms: WOW. I don't think I've ever seen an F given out by Yahoo. I have to disagree with their assessment. Burrow and Metcalf and a decent backfield make me wonder about those calculations. Grade: C- (Yahoo! Grade: F)

9. Spiked Vipers: With two TEs and two Ds the Vipers sure mixed it up this year. They did draft one of those Defenses in the 8th round though. I guess some things stayed the same. Grade: B (Yahoo! Grade: A-)

10. Dumbbums: Coach Coaldog did ok this year. It's looking like there may be some tough choices to make at QB throughout the season though. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: D+)

11. Predacons: Rookie RB? Early(ish) choice of a QB? The Preds went off script this year but maybe that's a good thing. They'll need some luck a the TE position. Grade: C (Yahoo! Grade: C-)

12. Lightning: I'm not saying this team isn't good. I just think that throwing around multiple A+ grades seems a little much. WRs are iffy. But Mahomes can cover up a lot of things. Grade: A- (Yahoo! Grade: A+)

The Comm-nosticator makes his first predictions soon. Stay tuned.

SuperBowl XXII Champion!

Congratulations to Coach Brew on winning his second 3FL championship (and first since 2011)!

The Yuengling Brewers outscored the league for the second time this postseason to leave no doubt about our SuperBowl winner. They posted the fourth highest playoff (3 week) total in history along the way.

Stay tuned later in the week for final stats and the 2022 season wrap-up.

Thanks to everyone for another fun season!!
